Good.
You're an indigene of Lagos and Lagos is your home state. You're not a lagosian.

Lagosians refer to those from the area known as Ìsàlè-Èkó.

Minimum wage.. We dont need increase in wages, we rather need a downward review of wages of the top earners.
Nigeria has a population of 220 million, of that number, less than 10million are employed by the govt directly.

Yet the increase in salary, will lead to an increase in foodstufs, housing, and tax, thereby rendering the increase useless, but making life worst for those without work or jobs..
In cameroon a bag of rice goes for 10-12thousand naira. (20-35 thousand cfa) the cost of living there is cheap and we are by far richer than them, yet the most of their population feed fine and do not complain of hunger.., with our salary of 30k minimum wage in Nigeria one can buy almost 3bags of rice there, but here in nigeria the moment minimum wage got increased, the cost of living all got increased as well and rice now cost more than 20+k.

Rather than increasing salary which we borrow money to pay, we need to find intelligent means, of reducing the gap between the rich and poor through review of salary and taxation on luxurious stufs

Because this increase in minimum wage will continue to plague us deeper into debt (currently owning 27trillion) and with our depleting oil reserves it will only be a matter of time before everything blows up in everyone's face.. Venezuela will be heaven compared to us

We are on a vicious cycle .we went through galloping inflation, hyperinflation, depression, , recession . I pray we should not go through implosion.

Expect prices of goods to increase though.

It is good that the Lagos state government is thinking about the welfare of the people.

Don't be a pessimist, let's commend the lagos state government. Cost of living is high in a cosmopolitan city like Lagos. With high purchasing power comes increased demand for goods and services which is a catalyst for industrial growth. Employment opportunities will ultimately increase and it is a win - win for workers, traders, and the government who will rake in more revenue from taxes. shocked shocked
