Nigerian government should have a website or national forum to consult public opinion before making sensitive decisions. You can only register with your bvn and NIN. It should have sections with opinion polls to know exactly what the people feel about government policies. It could provide a very crucial feedback that that can help stabilize our democracy.

Democracy is rule by the majority. It is what the people want and not what the representatives feel is proper.

Rather than weakening the nation's employment capacity, the government should see how to put the unqualified teachers in line by hasting and subsidising 'on the job' grooming, training or schooling for them, especially, for those who're passionate among them.

Go sit down for one side, cos you no get work. Coman do it yourself na why given directive? Hardship is going on and u still want add to some families in the name of eradicating unqualified mallams. Money mongers everywhere. Every sector in this country is now a scam. So in his mind, the TRCN certificate that they are selling and renewing is now Superior to the certificates issued by the various institutions of learning that certified those teachers worthy in character and learning? Bunch of jokers. A certificate issued without any form of evaluation, will now be used in disqualifying people that have been qualified through cumulative evaluation.

Oh Nigeria my country, when will you be healed of these type of leaders? when will the conscience of these leaders resurrect from their grave of corruption? when will these leaders put the interest and future of the younger generation first before money�?

Knowledge base or certificate. Because if it is knowledge base, the present ones are no different from the one certified by TRCN.


Even if you are not a graduate of education you can procure TRCN material and read for their exam, then you will be certified.


No effective and efficient means of knowledge testing rather than their exam, which is no different from any other exam we have ever written.


TRCN just want to get their 15000naira from every aspiring teacher.

You can be an unprofessional teacher, and still passed their exam and be certified, then go and continue in your unprofessionalism.

The federal government has directed that all unqualified teachers should be removed by December 31, 2019. The Registrar, Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), Olusegun Ajiboye, stated this while inducting over 200 Education graduates of the University of Ibadan.

According to him, quacks teaching Nigerian children would be replaced by qualified and certificated Education graduates to mould sound future leaders for the country. The registrar noted that teachers must stand shoulder-to-shoulder with other professional groups in the knowledge-driven economy. While administering the Oath of Practice on the inductees, Professor Ajiboye reiterated that any teacher found wanting in the code of practice would be sanctioned. He also said Nigerian teachers now have a separate and unique career path with the recent approval of the Teachers’ Career Path by the National Council on Education. “It is worthy to stress the importance of today’s induction ceremony in line with government directives.

The federal government has directed that by 31st of December 2019 all unqualified people practising the profession of teaching would be swept from the classroom and their places would be occupied by young and vibrant professional teachers like you. We need to appreciate the fact that education unlocks the key to modernization, but the teacher holds the key to that door. He is the hub of any educational system and the major determinant of its quality. This is so because he is saddled with the responsibility of translating educational policies into practice and programmes into actions and therefore my dear inductees, you have a big role to play in changing the pendulum of affairs in your place of service.”

. How will teachers who are not paid regularly be motivated to register as professionals? When teachers are well paid abroad they only get peanuts in Nigeria.Imagine a principal collecting less than 100k in Nigeria after close to 35 years in service! Instead of overhauling the educational system the government is emphasing TRC which is just a professional body that has nothing to do with the teachers productivity and commitment to the service.

why have the great TRCN academics not made their induction exam process easy with the aid of tech?

why do they exclude experts in the field of science like physicists from direct induction?

why do scientists have to go back and do PGDE before they can transfer their expert knowledge to kids?

why not TRCN prepare a 2 weeks to 3months max part time certification program for science and non education graduates?

after spending 5years to become an expert in computer science, then i have to go and spend another 1year & 6 months with at least N200k expenses before i qualify to teach what i can do in bed.

then after that process, i will earn same as an education 4years-only graduate....DOES THAT SOUND RIGHT?
