All I can tell you is that my friend's wife (then girlfriend) was sent on scholarship to study in Cyprus as an ex-militant. A lot of her female friends from the region too. Ask around and you'll hear more stories.

A prominent personality we are close to made his money from acting as a travel agent for "ex- militants” going to Malaysia and Europe.
