The erroneous teaching that we all need to be condemning and correcting is the teaching that only those who call themselves pastors are anointed.

This teaching is destructive and makes people value pastors even more than Jesus Christ.

I have heard many Christians talk about respecting the anointing of their Daddy GO, and when I try to teach them that every Christian has been anointed, they look at me strangely. To them, they either don't have anointing or their anointing is inferior to that of their pastors.

But when John mentioned the anointing of all Christians, he didn't mention that some Christian would have superior anointing or that anointing would have grades.

But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth. (1 John 2:20)

What really does the word Anointed mean? It means to be set aside, especially for a religious or holy function(s). In those days, kings, priests, and virtually anyone were anointed or anointed themselves for religious and holy purposes. While there were various reasons for anointing oneself or someone, the anointing which we talk about most frequently is the anointing which consecrates us and prepares us for a religious or holy office. For instance, Aaron and his sons were consecrated with oil for the task of conducting God's work to the children of God. King Saul was consecrated with oil to lead God's people. So, an anointed person means a chosen one

Christ was the chosen one appointed by God to bring the Good News to us. When Christ left earth, He left us the gift of the Holy Spirit. We (Christians), all of us, are now the chosen ones appointed by Christ with the Holy Spirit to spread the Good News to those who have not heard it or are still being held captive in sin.

Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. (2 Corinthians 21-22)

Ur no 2 point is out of place and out of ur jurisdiction. U can’t say who goes where and where. Sm will go to heaven bt not be rewarded for their works. Salvation is more of a gift through faith.

Also every Christian is the anointed of God. Don’t get it twisted. They may just not know it well enough or are ignorant or carefree.

This is superb and a beautiful explanation of the word anointing. The G Os have confused many followers with the interpretation of Palsm 105:15 ; "Do not touch these people I have chosen, and do not hurt my prophets." This is erroneously believed by many Christians as exclusively for the Men of God. Jesus was never anointed with olive oil but with Holy Spirit. This is what every true Christian is anointed with.

God Almighty doesn't anoint anyone, but the gods anoints(choose) people to perform one function or the other.

For example, Jehovah anoints some Jews of old to do evil, killing people, destroying their animals, killing babies, etc.
Allah chose Mohammed to wreck havoc, destroy many people's lives and property, rape little girls, etc.
Ahura Mazda chose Zoroaster to bring about a religion called Zoroastrianism.

You're very right op, annointing cannot prevent temptations from coming your way, [s]but it can give you the capacity to overcome temptations[/s] which come your way.

Annointing is good but it should never take the place of God in someone's life.

That's very important and why many annointed persons have ended in hell, because some of them started well and their focus was on God, but when the annointing came, and the people, they forgot about God who gave them the annointing and their attention shifted to the annointing God gave them and the people that came as a result. And the rest as they say, is history.

How many temptations have you been able to overcome with discipline?

I'm speaking from experience, and you should know the power which comes from prayer, and could also be called annointing which helps you not to fall In temptation or to obey God's Word.
