Fela the name with death in his pocket (anikulapo) was nothing short of being a musical genius. I once referred his music to a white US dude in his early 20s the dude fell in love with him instantly. In particular he listened to Zombie. The arrangements, the rhythm of the song and so on and so forth. This was music done decades ago.

Millions of people would disagree with you sir.
Fela is a legend in the music industry and activism.

He came from a legendary family, disciplinarian and strict parents who taught and encouraged their kids to embrace education and personal development.
Siblings were pioneers of medicine and legal profession in Nigeria. Fela knew what he wanted and he followed his dream and passion against parents wishes.

He was an extraordinary human being, full of talent, courage and energy. Unlike musicians of today, he actually went to a school of music in England. He played musical instruments and he played it gooooood.

In my opinion, Fela should be in the top 50 Nigerians living or dead.

Arrant nonsense. How does a legendary family make one a good musician? Which pioneers of medicine and legal profession in Nigeria are you talking about? The crap about studying music in England is mark of colonial mentality. There were Juju highlife and Afrobeat or Afrofunk musics before Fela arrived on the scene.

Who are you please! Fela’s Sounds are revolutionary! His person might be questionable.., so is your personality as well.

I can say you are a pained clown who doesn’t reason with your brains at all. Someone who changed the cause of Afro beats and his effects are felt everywhere!

If you were close to me, I would have given you a brain resetting slap to bring your sanity back to normal.

The bolded is very arguable statement. Fela could have made Afrobeat or Afrofunk popular in Nigeria due to his political activism in the country however the cause of popularity of Afrobeat or Afrofunk was set before he arrived on the scene.

In an interviewed choreographed by a UNILAG student Fela himself admitted his going to England to study was a waste where his need for musical expression was concerned.

Who pioneered Afrobeat nau

Afrobeat or Afrofunk was started in Ghana in 1920. Afrobeat of Afrofunk was introduced in Nigeria by Funkees with song recorded in Ghana in 1970 when Fela was still in USA chasing after a widow's skirt. Fela's first record was even recorded in Congo via Paris, France. Fela made three name changes for his band. From Kola Lubitos to Nigeria-70 and finally Afro-70.

Yes, he is a legend and from a legendary family.
Mother was an activist campaigning against the colonial government.
Father was a clergy, a school principal and the first president of Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT)

Ransome Kuti was a minister of health. Beko, his brother also a medical doctor played mighty roles campaigning against oppressions from the military governments. He was a human right champion.

Wole Soyinka is Fela’s first cousin. Fela was sent to England to study medicine. He could easily had become one but he chose a different path. I mentioned the school of music to argue that he actually went through a proper pathway to become one. He studied music, wrote music, composed it, played instruments. He could teach music, he knew when someone sang out of tune, he could be a voice coach...something most musicians couldn’t do. He shared lots of attributes with Dr Laz Ekwueme. Fela could easily had become a music professor at Unilag or Unibadan.

Fela is a legend. The world celebrate him.

Are you aware Isaac Newton was not the first to propose the energy constant principle? No one carries the credit beside him though.

Fela remains the pioneer of Afro Beat.

He was not the pioneer of Afrobeat or Afrofunk in Nigeria talk less Africa. Fela learnt about Afrobeat or Afrofunk while in USA. He was still a juju artist with Kola Lubitos when the first Nigerians release a song of Afrobeat or Afrofunk genre.

What year was that and who was the first Nigerian to release an Afrobeat album?

I have facts but you are going by hearsays that cannot be substantiated with facts. You keep saying he joined Afrobeat. So tell me, who created Afrobeat?

Have you listened to his music of the Koola Lobitos era to determine that it was not afrobeat/highlife but juju
What happened from his USA trip was the politicisation of his lyrics to become more activist for blackism than it was previously.
