In Nigeria, we don't eat turkey and celebrate Thanksgiving like the Americans do, but naturally, once December comes, an average Nigerian would sit back and reflect on his life, while drafting a new new year resolution.

2019 has been eventful, there's been lots of ups and downs, above all, people died, people had accident, people lost money, people recoverd, people made money, people got married. So let's count our blessings.

let's know what we are all thankful for.

Let me start;
I fell in love (with an angel)
I rounded up NYSC
I fell sick and recoverd
I met 30% of my new year resolution
My brother is getting married
Finally, I am thankful for life

I am grateful for gift of life!

All family members are alive and healthy.

I rounded up my NYSC also, Secured a job that takes care of my basic needs. Still looking out for the dream job.

I didn't find love this year, 2020 will be better.

the only thing I wanna be thankful of it’s the gift of LIFE, other things are temporary and could be replaced. Life is a gift that can never be compared and it has no equal.

I’m thankful I didn’t land in the hospital throughout this year for any reason, though malaria and thyroid tried too.

I’m thankful for the lives of my families, Both paternal and maternal . I thank God for the life of my mom and dad. God with a deep heart filled with passion and sobriety, I say THANK YOU!!!

Than God For The Gift Of Life, December last year on sick bed, God You add a baby boy to my family You also gave me chance to be among the living soul. Who am i not to thank you always for been there for me and my family.

Had a total reorientation of mind (a massive one)

Broke away from toxic and unhealthy relationships

Started school (even though I feel I don't like school)

Learnt a vocation

Was healed of all my hurt and brokenness

Forgave everyone

Are walking in purpose

My relationship with God is progressing

And many more...

I'm starting afresh in 2020

Glory to God Almighty, Glory to Jesus Christ and Glory to the Holy Spirit my ever present help. Amen

God, life, my family, sound health, the opportunities that have come my way, the love that has come my way, this beautiful country, my tenaciousness.

1. Gift of life
2. Sound health
3. Great work-life balance.

No 3 makes me happy always because I used to work round the clock like a donkey for years. My new role leaves me with gracious amount of time to bond with my family.

I now make a little lesser than I used to but I have my sanity and peace of mind. I am very grateful to God for these three.

It's December 1st 2019 and i still find myself sleeping and waking up to see a new day.

Well I'm thankful for that, not like I'm better than those who couldn't, it's a painful reminder of what life is. life is short and vain..

Let's make the world liveable for the short time we have.

Been a living soul and not borrowed from anybody or owe anybody anything despite how tight things are

So grateful for good health, sound finances, answered prayers, great friends and progressive career.. thank you Lord.

So Grateful for the gift of Life, Family, and wonderful opportunities.

I'm grateful for being alive despite what I went through this year, but I'm still breathing....

I asked God for something he gave me 60% of what i asked who am i to complain.
Lots of tradeoffs. Social life, making new friends, thought of feeling down...

Life and good health, grace to have survived in Lagos, Nigeria.Loved ones who are so loving,my parents and grandma,God-sent husband who loves me so much,healthy and intelligent kids,safety through out my journey to work(riverine area),successful weddings of my younger brother and dear cousin, peace in my marriage and place of work and many more...

If I couldn't just say thank you God for all the things he has done for me, then I am an ingrate.

I am thankful to God for seeing me through the pains of loosing my baby boy and restoring my joy even of i miss my baby. For the gift of life He gave to me at a time I felt I couldn't go on. I am thankful to God for securing my husband's life when he was involved in a motor accident.

I'm alive and well, got my own apartment and furnished it on my own but with God's divine assistance.. For that I am truly thankful

Everything!!!! Gift of life most importantly and God just focused on me so much ehnnnnn !!!! I want to hug Him so much! I love you my Heavenly Father!!!!

I am grateful for the gift of life, all my family are alive, Hale and hearty.

I wrote a highly technical professional exam and passed. I am now a registered lady engineer.

I purchased a property, even able to fence it.

The zeal for self development has fallen upon me and I'm changing for good.

I could help people and people helped me in return.

I can't stop showing gratitude to God for all His heavenly blessings over my life.

Life. Life is a gift we do not value enough.


I recently lost a friend, quite unexpectedly, and it put so many things into perspective. The survival through near-fatal experiences, the highs and lows.......without life there isn't hope of moving forward, of surviving.


I'm so grateful for life.
