The day you meet with military officials on the road, do well to share your experience with us. In this hustle, it's all about been smart and knowing when to accept trip or decline. I have started noting down areas to avoid as a driver.

Use Google map Audio..you can connect to your bluetooth and listen for directions. Keep your phone out of sight. They pulled me over around Osbourne but later left me when they say my SM IDcard. The other uber or taxify guy was facing same issue.

This is what I do mostly but I feel riders might find the 'turn right then turn left' irritating, lol.

You do it with the help of military men. People comes to the barrack steady to request for this. My Dad personally has done it for so many people then... You just have to make a call when they stop you, trust me Army are friendly once you know how to be polite and friendly with them..
Even If a friend brings a car to me to drive to somewhere, first thing I do is, paste a sticker, army flag and belt, sometimes I wear our army polo shirt and wear another shirt ontop of it buttoned and I unbotton once am stop by touts...

Me I no even get energy to beg anybody rather I avoid anything that will give me problem. Yesterday at Marina I picked a rider in front of the Anglican church, I couldn't stop to start trip and all the serene on bolt, so I pùlled into ConOil to quickly do that and begin the trip, that how Bolt app crashed, when I open, it will just show the bolt logo and stay like 3 minutes before saying 'some error occurred, pls try again ' tried like 4 times, no show, one man just came to me and said mr man you cant wait here.

I plead with him, he no gree, since I am familiar with NDIC parking lot I drove straight down there, talked with the security guy and he allowed me stay till I fixed it and left.

P.S Had to restart my phone before the bolt driver app could work. Rider was patient and we did a back to back trip. Marina to Ajah, Ajah to Ikoyi with same dude.

I think if I want to be fair on my car, I will only do Island trips, anything I make, I'm cool with it. Mainland trip will be filtered. If Bolt like they should block me, I will go and complete my uber onboarding.

Guess I was lucky to have met with a cool man, was at Ajah on Saturday when a request came in, while trying to find my way down to Happyland estate, FrSC guys stopped me, I didn't know I was not using my seatbelts as I was rushing down to pickup destination, phone on one hand, another on the steering.

They flagged me down, I stopped, the man requested for my DL, I showed him, in other not to waste my time, I simply said pls sir I am going to pick a rider and in a hurry. The man just said Oh You Be Uber Driver, I said Yes Sir. He said GO.

Lasma will never let u go, dose guys r hungry lion.

Passing through Ajao to Oshodi is manageable though the inner roads/streets remain 'essentially' bad grin

My Dad is a retired military personnel. Note wen you use army sticker and flag, that is not impersonation, it shows that u are somehow related to an army and it lessens threat from touts..

Your case is different since your dad is a retired soldier, u can even say the car belongs to your dad.

Nothing can take me to Festac. Nothing except personal runs and na Oride.

Last time I went there if it was possible I would have carried my car on my head and walk the distance.
