Jake Gyllenhaal is an amazing actor,simple

Gyllenhaal is overdue for an Oscar. He is one of the best in his generation.

He played the sociopath in this movie so perfectly well that I actually forgot I was watching a movie.

Heath Ledger's Joker. Dude corrupted almost everyone in Gotham City. He actually proved there's a savage beast in every man waiting patiently to be unleash.

His crazy is on a whole new level. I actually believe the word use to describe his crazy hasn't been invented, yet. Frankly I don't think it will ever be invented.

I disagree. The guy seems typecast in the "loner brooding sad guy" character. I'd like to see more range from.him.

I disagree with him been a typecast and i know his persona comes of as a sad lonely guy but that's just part of charm..Love and other drugs?, End of watch?, Jarhead, Sourcecode, Prince of persia? Spiderman far from home?

On the issue of typecast, and i am thinking out loud here...in giving out oscars, is it proper to judge the particular movie the actor starred in and delivered a memorable performance than judging on if he's "typecast" for that role?

I don't know. It doesn't just feel the same way I felt when I saw the trailer for Skyfall but trailers don't always convey how god a movie is so I'll just wait and hope it's good.

The franchise has been stale for many years(over 30years in my estimation).Personally I believe it is a relic from the cold war era that has no place in today's world
