So it went like this, i wanted to purchase Samsung Galaxy Watch 2018 Open Box 2pcs at 50K each, making 100k from this man. After we agreed, i suggested we used an Escrow but he refused, saying he can't allow me send his money to a stranger to hold. After much arguing about trust, he sent me an account number and rquested that i paid half of the money into it, then sent a paga account that i should pay the other half. I was uneasy about this, so i contacted a friend in Benin to go help me check him out. I also came to Nairaland and opened this thread to check if anyone has had a successful trade with him. No one responded in the affirmative, two different people even warmed me and insisted escrow was the way out. Back to WhatsApp, i sent his contact details and address to my friend and I informed him she was already on her way. He said we should chat him that the network was bad so he couldnt hear us (meanwhile i could hear him perfectly). When my friend got to the address and chatted him up, he said she was at the wrong place, i had to input the addresson googlemap and use streetview. My friend was at number 165 and his shop address that he sent was number 170 and he kept saying she was at the wrong address, that his shop was far from where she was. I challenged him that how come number 170 will be very far from number 165 on the same street. He said that's how Benin is. He proceeded to give us another address and said she should take a bike. She couldn't get a Bike but chartered a Keke to the new address. Upon getting there, she couldn't find anything related to what this man had earlier described. He said there's a yellow complex, she couldn't find any. Also why couldn't he come pick her up at the exact location he described. He said network is bad and he couldn't talk via calls, my friend was communicating with me via call and the network was good. Not for once did i complain of not hearing her well.

I can assure you that it us worse than you can imagine.

Bought the phone I'm currently using here on nairaland... Sent down From Lagos and I'm in far north and the man sent me my phone almost immediately he received complete payment... I don't know him atall atall.... There's Still good people out there.
