Not necessarily transportation. I see a lot of brains been wasted here on trivialities. Let's do something worthwhile

Then it shouldn't be a faceless thing. A sit down has to be arranged.

You lack comprehension.

This is a nice forum and I enjoying hanging out here every once a while. Instead of the bickering and hate speech (there's a new law now remember grin) I believe strongly we can all learn from each other as no man is an island. If you ask me, it is healthy if we all have different opinions on issues regardless of how radical some peoples opinions maybe as that could have been a factor of so many things: upbringing, personal experience, society, peer pressure etc. Lets learn to understand first where that persons mindset is coming! Its a faceless place and I believe living to respect each other is certainly not a difficult thing to do. Its a choice we can all make. A simple choice.

I was with my employer for 14 years. We had a strong union. When I was let go, I was given an ample severance package that allowed me to measure my options. A colleague in a different part of the company, higher paid but not unionised was laid off in 2016 or so. All he got was one months salary as severance. I met him a month later, driving uber. He is probably working now. Where will uber fit in his cv?

A cv is about relevant experience for a position. Unless you somehow intend to apply as senior driver in a company, your uber driving experience is irrelevant.

One of the reasons why the rates are not that good is uber is not intended to be a full time job, but a side hustle for extra money.

My two cents.

When you've been out of a job for a period of time, your new employer might want to know what you've been doing with your time. UBER, sir!

I told my current employer that I ran a small house cleaning service business with a friend.

He then asked, "besides house cleaning what else can you do"?

I replied "i work well with computers".

But this wasn't really the catch.

I love to come up with ideas. Ideas that solves problems, a human need.

In 2014, I came up with an idea that I called " bill roller". It addressed the issue of making your NEPA bills available in a manner that made it easy for NEPA officials on disconnection exercise check your paid bills without hassles. Instead of the usual way people would squeeze their bills into pet bottle, this idea gave that whole process a swag. It was a product on its own.

Why I bring this up is because I feel that there's really no experience that is wasted or irrelevant.

I walk into every job interview with the prototype and it's always a breeze. I sell myself as a problem solver and I have something to show for it.

So, why not!?

UBER, sir!!!

Guy, if my side hustle is out stripping my main hustle in terms of returns , what does that tell you?

Unless she has a very clear vision that when I get to point x, the money from accounting will start rolling in.

It tells you you are doing something wrong or you yet to fully understand your side hustle.

If you burn 10 kilocalories on job a and you get 30k
You burn 20 kilocalories on job b and you get 15k

Where do you think you should burn your kilocalories?

Everyday people shout be your own boss, don't work for anyone. This lady has stumbled on a hustle that will bring in money but she continues to chase career. Like i said, Las Las na civil service job. Even in lag, the flexibility na die.

Not totally correct. I work not as a civil servant but I still have time.

Morning shift: 7am - 2pm (7hrs) anytime after 2pm I'm free
Afternoon shift: 2pm - 8pm (6hrs) anytime before 2pm I'm free
Night shift: 8pm - 7am (11hrs) anytime after 7am I'm free

Oga speak for yourself, use yourself as an example. Tell us what job and side hustle you're doing and what you earn from them weekly/monthly. Stop all these stories/testimonies you read online as if life is a bed of roses. If it's easy to make $2000 monthly why are you here reading post and mentioning?

Bro don't be like that. The fact that he mentioned it could change someone's life. Be open to ideas. This guy hasn't committed a crime.

Its a faceless forum, who knows, maybe its dangote just trying to have fun outside his routine life style.

We are not sure of where she is working presently, neither do we know her plans and future aspirations.

That she is doing her side hustle along side her career doesn't mean she can't still go higher in her career. If she has got it all figured out, who are we to tell her how to run her affairs.

My point is, everyone has got dreams and plans, let's allow them follow their dreams. As for me, am looking for ways to finance my career in ICT.

So, even if na for shit packing the goldmine is located, na dia we dey go, provided it gives me that time to go for my trainings.

Painful thing is we can't ascertain if she's married or still single. I have seen situations where ladies would pursue and attain degrees more than you have on a thermometer but throw all that way after marriage leaving their husbands dreams. Painfull

They won't listen to you if you prove stubborn, they will only ask to remove it since you spoke maturely and told them your reason u pasted it.
Simple, it's my dad's sticker he drives the motor himself most of the times. Call to confirm.

The fact that they will still tell you to politely remove it after all your explanation means you are not doing the right thing.

And that's if the MPs that meet you have their head correct on the day they meet you. Should you be unfortunate to meet MPs wey their head dey turn 24/7, they will completely mess you up.

Stop using Military insignia if you are not one of them.
