The outspoken journalist was pictured with his lawyer Femi Falana SAN moments after his release.

I wish my both friends who has been in jail since April 2016 in India a better life and a speedy recovery. They regained freedom today.

God saved me from being on that scene, they both called me to come over shortly before they were arrested.

Almost 5months in DSS custody. Being incarcerated can cause mental health symptom and severe psychological stress. I won't blame him if he takes the deal to keep his mouth shut.

Femi Falana SAN, is a blessing to activism and the human rights struggle in Nigeria.

A staunch supporter of Fela (his client) in his younger days, and now, in his old age, a relentless constitutional Lawyer and human rights activist. I’m glad we have him around. I believe there are people willing to take on the mantle after him.
