Matthew 5:28
But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

So tell me while masturbating you will be reading Bible abi?

Masturbation is aroused by sight or memory... So that scripture applies.

Not everything in life is about sin. The question of masturbation and its effects can be studied by human science, and from that we know that it has both advantages and disadvantages.

lf you masturbate and it destroys your body( the temple of God) only then can you call it a sin( if you want to use that word), if it causes weakness, memory loss or affects your sperm.

If as a guy, you train yourself to last longer in bed through masturbation and experimentation with your penis, then this is helpful to your sex life, and l don't see why you should call it a sin as long as it is not done in excess

But if you are addicted to porn and masturbation for no good reason other than your desires(lust of the flesh) then you should apply some self discipline by making it once in two weeks at least.

ln general, masturbation should only be helpful to you, as a means of sexual release( once in two weeks) or to help against quick ejaculation or prevent medical problems, but it should not take the place of an active social or sexual life

All things are permissible to me but not all things are required.

The scripture you quoted is only telling you that sin starts from the heart. lt is thesame thing with murder, if you bear grudges and hate your neighbour without a cause, then it is as though you committed the physical murder already.

As humans, these things happen once in a while when we see beautiful men and women, and jesus knows that. So your scripture would apply perhaps against excessive porn for instance.

The scripture is just a caution to make us aware that the birth place of sin is the heart, so when we look at another man's wife lustfully, we must learn to guard our hearts against it immediately.

But note that it says Adultery.

NOTE he was talking to people who may have been married.

The Bible also says if your EYE causes you to sin.

See, stop trying to draw a thin line of inference. You cannot think Holy thoughts and masturbate

Philippians 4:6-8

Also the Bible says as a man thinks in his heart so is he.

Let's not flog the issue.

When people want to sin... They start explaining scriptures to suit their damaged minds.

Ok let me ask you a question: Are humans sexual beings or not, and did God create us this way?

Notice that l am in agreement with you that we must guard our hearts, but my arguement with you is that the verse you quoted is a warning, it wasn't to make us feel guilty whenever we have sexual thoughts or we get immediately aroused, but to alert us to the danger that this could result to if we continually dwell on those thoughts, but scripture is not denying that those thoughts can come naturally.

This is not about making excuses for sin, but reading scripture practically and humbly.

Masturbation is sin whether some people you call *pastor* say *it is not sin or not*
Sexual thoughts/desire/urge is not sin whether married or single because we are not in-charge of what enters into our minds
however dwelling in sexual thoughts and wanting to satisfy it *by yourself* is sin whether married or single.
dwelling in sexual thoughts about your sexual intimacy with your wedded spouse or even desiring to engage in more sexual intimacy with your wedded spouse is not sin because you are married and it is permissible for married couple to engage in sexual intimacy hence it is a holy thought for married couple when they are desiring their own wedded spouse not another person, image, toys, fingers e.t.c. and this thought does not require personal squeezing of your sexual organs or fingering/romancing your body to satisfy your sexual appetite.
Having sex with yourself either by yourself or with sexual images, videos or toys is masturbation and it is sin whether you are married or single.
Sexual intimacy starts from the mind, images in your mind or physical eyes-focus to cuddling, kissing, romance and penetration between the sexual organs (vagina and pennis) of wedded husband and wife not mouth/anus/finger-penetration, toys, finger, condoms, contraceptives, withdrawal-methods, abortion-pills e.t.c. thus sexual intimacy for wedded couple must be open to procreation "And Adam *knew* Eve his wife and she conceived and bare Cain and said I have gotten a man from the Lord" (Genesis 4:1).
Knowledge here defines *sexual intimacy* which brought forth *conception*.
If couples are not ready for *conception* they are to abstain from sexual intimacy *within the peak/fertile days of the woman* which is 12 days out of the 28-days women cycle time-frame rather than introduce ideas, styles, medications, instruments that endanger the sanctity of marital purity. Self-control as one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit is manifests more in marriage than when you are still single.
Sexual intimacy is defined between 2-persons (a wedded husband and wife) who are in the same geographical location thus "the man and his wife were naked and they were not ashamed" (Genesis 2:25) not with nude pictures, texts and videos.

Sexual intimacy for those who are wedded in the Christian method *must* be
*marital(between 1-man and 1-woman joined by a Priest/Pastor on the behalf of Jesus Christ Crucified; Genesis 2:25)*,
*procreative(open to pregnancy without any form or method of contraceptive/abortion; Genesis 4:1)*,
and
*unitive(acceptable/agreeable/uniting to the man and woman's soul, spirit and body in "union with the purity of God"; Hebrews 13:4)*
