Uyo,Nigeria is looking lit as the Christmas village opens at the Ibibio museum and unity park grounds at the centre of the city.

There are several booths at the park for local vendors and purveyors of Christmas cheer.
Uyo is the place to be right now. It's super fun and at night the whole scene becomes more alluring with the newly built 21 story building in the central business district of the city contributing its own lighting that adds to the beauty of the Christmas village which is not too far away.

The iconic roundabout in uyo, artfully displaying Ekpe one of the cultural institutions of Akwa ibom state.
FUN FACTS:
For the Nsibidi (Ancient African language form) Enthusiasts , the way the Ekpe in this sculpture is standing and the way the staff Is placed is an Nsibidi symbolism with meaning for initiates, Nsibidi is not only written, Movement and the placements of objects is also a form of communication in Nsibidi language.
In this case the way the Ekpe is standing Akinbo and the placements of his staff is communicating.
Hmmmn what could it possibly be saying/communicating?

Overrated city without frequent electric power aside ikot ekpene road and few other streets. Though the city and the state as a whole has the best and sweet road network but things ain't moving well there.

Uyo is currently the best place to be in Nigeria, it is serene, it is clean, good road network and a city on the rise with a government that's responsive to the needs of the citizens within the limits of limited resources.
