In the history of Nigeria, the Igbo tribe has kisses the asses of Hausa Fulani than any other ethnic group in Nigeria. The problem with most of you is you lack critical thinking and political analysis but make assumptions based on pure sentiment, in the history, the Buhari is the first core Northerner or any Northerner for that matter that the Yoruba has supported in any election in the country (including the supposed Yoruba Muslim you like blame for all your misfortune). Yoruba has always been in opposition to the North, even Yoruba in north central has always be pro south, for example, Buhari has always losses states like Kwara and Kogi with substantial Yoruba population until the alliance with the ACN while Igbo has always be in bed with the north from first republic to the emergence of Jonathan why not blame Igbos of having an Identity crises?

There has never been a united south and there will never be any united south, Nigeria was created from the union of different ethnic groups in the south and the north, these groups have what unite them and mere adjective like north or south can't unite people. You people are not different from delusional core northerners that always think that the political north created by the colonial masters can always bring them to power, hence you will always see them shout that the north is united. the unity of the said north is a figment of their imagination, the core north may be united now by religion because they still have common enemy in Christians and common interest in maintaining their share of the oil and tax revenue from the south, what happened if the oil dries up or when the tax payer from the south decides to have their independent countries. There is the issue of the heterogeneous middle belt or north central people, a substantial number of which are Christians. these groups have their own identity and want to be seen as a different group from the Hausa Fulani north.
