Chemical engineering is a very lucrative course to study.
But the challenge is the process of attaining the degree.

You must be well grounded in further mathematics, physics and most importantly organic chemistry...if you know you are not good in these subjects better have a rethink else you may be frustrated in your degree program.

Good luck.

Why Chemical Engineering in the first place? I think we should start from there. No doubt, it's a good engineering discipline. However, it's surely not the best at the moment. My knowledge of the reason for your choice will put me a position to guide you properly. About the ideal varsity, such abound in Nigerian... Till then.

Bad choice. Look towards electrical, mechanical or Petroleum. I am talking from experience. Even where you are supposed to be relevent, they make you irrelevant

Not true, I'm a Chemical engineer. Everything depends on your level of exposure and how sound you're. Chemical engineering is far ahead than Petroleum engineering and can rival but Mechanical and Electrical engineering as the best engineering.
@Op Chemical engineering is the hardest engineering behind only Civil engineering so if you are very sound in mathematics and not necessarily chemistry(though have little knowledge) you can go ahead and study the course. It's a profession with dignity. A Chemical (Process ) engineer is the prime mover of industrialization in a country and one of the issues we're having in Nigeria is due to the in effectiveness of Chemical engineers in piloting the affairs of the nation.

Mechanical is the most versatile and then electrical

Lol. I am very sound & well exposed. I made my comment based on employment opportunities in d country. Being in d upstream sector of an IOC in d country, I come with 1st hand info.
For me it's either mechanical or electrical and then others. Wider applicability and reach. #myopinion entirely
