PT: So you are saying even within the framework of the Abacha regime…

SoworeCuts in) By the time you look at the entire corruption that Abacha perpetrated in his five years in power I guess, we are looking at 10billion dollars. Jonathan’s people stole at least 20 billion in less than 3 years from just sales of crude oil alone. If you add that to what the oil marketers or importers stole, which was 6.8 billion dollars, so you are looking already at 28 billion dollars stolen under Jonathan’s regime which is three times more than what Abacha stole during his regime. I’m not making this comparison saying that Nigerians deserve any of these leaders from Babangida to Abacha and the rest of them. I condemned successive administrations but it’s important to state that in clarifying my position as to which government is worse. This is my own statistical definition of how bad things have gone.

I see many ignorantly saying Sowore deserves what he is getting now, forgetting that he has been on this struggle for decades.

His criticism of Goodluck Ebele Jonathan was not rubber stamping Buhari but continuing his fight for Nigeria to become a better place for all Nigerians.

The fight he is on now is still a continuation of this same struggle. I find it baffling that people try to use his honest and well meant condemnation of GEJ to turn a blind eye to his current struggles which is meant to make live better for all Nigerians.

Please note, he condemns successive administrations and the current one comes next until he sees a better Nigeria.

Sowore was wrong to think that Nigerians want a better country.

Nigerians only want their own partisan interests to be protected, hence the hatred from those whose interests aligned with the Jonathan government.

They do not care that he fought successive administrations, or that he criticised the Yar Adua cabal that made Jonathan impotent. They do not care that he began criticizing the Buhari regime from its earliest sign of hypocrisy.

Their grouse is that he fought their own interest which was rightly described by Sowore as the worst regime till that time, revealing that all they care about is themselves alone.

Nigerians do not have a common interest that unites us as a nation. Now Sowore will learn the hard way.

Agreed 100%. Sowore has been very consistent in criticizing failed administrations. His criticism of GEJ was not any different. I'm very sure he'll continue to do so with subsequent administrations as long as things continue to degenerate in the country. The GEJ fan boys are simply displaying their selective bias.

100% truth.

That's the problem with Nigerians, and that will continue to be the problem with Nigerians should this country split up.

Nigerians are more of 'my interest first, other people's interests last'.

That's why I don't like the politics of this country....no one is interested in how Nigeria can be better. People would even support the enslavement of every Nigerian including themselves so long as it guarantees a big pot of pottage for breakfast tomorrow...

That's why people have voted for APC twice despite the mess of the last 5-6 years, or GEJ sycophants continue to praise him as some hero despite the fact that he nearly grounded our economy...and so on.

Nigerians problem is Nigerians themselves.

Some rabble rousing ignoramuses are even saying Sowore ENJOYED Freedom under Jonathan, if only the money meant for their education has not been looted by Patience Jonathan, Dasuki and co, they would have known that right under the Premium Times post, it was said that the staff at PT were surprised to see him at their office because they know the he's on the DSS watchlist. Sowore sneaked into the country throughout Jonathan's regime till late 2014 when it was evident that he will be defeated

Agreed he has the right to criticize GEJ but supporting Bubu to replace him was foolhardy for Sowore. I expect him to know better given his long time activism. Even Fela warned future generations who Bubu is. Nigerians are exceptionally gullible.

While Buhari's government is terrible and wicked, Jonathan's administration remains one of the most corrupt in the history of Nigeria.

Someone should remind me of the tittle of GEJ from Italy about his cluelessness.

People who justify Sowore's arrest because he contributed to Jonathan's loss are selfish and deceitful.

Jonathan's era was a free flow for corruption and his cronies ate Nigeria dry.

We were right to have voted Buhari in 2015 because he was the less evil but immediately we detected that he was terrible and not worth it, we back tracked in 2019. Did Sowore support Buhari in 2019?

More so, no one talks about the fact that it was Sowore that fought really hard for GEJ before the cabals allowed him.

A lot of young Nigerians are messed up and know nothing.

Bubu govt is more corrupt than GEJ. GEJ made more sustainable policies to fight corruption than Bubu who has made non order than the old approach of chasing shadows
