I just love the car though it is archaic..
It just occured to me that with the absence of crushing facilities in Nigeria (i wouldnt opt in for that anyway), i love to keep this 'souvenir' (dad would love it).
I trained with it in 2009 and since then, i love the feel whenever i lay my hand on the gear stick!

Top Speed 220 kmph

Tyres: 155/80-R13 on the front, 175/70 - R13 at the back.
Steering: I dnt knw but its superb(as easy as the word 'easy')
Capacity1870cc
colour Navy blue

Complaints @ present:
1. Shaky experience of the steering when topping just 60kph! Dnt knw why
2. Ignition problem.(sometimes you park and turn the ignition to no avail, then after 30 mins or so, it turns on...). An engineer who worked on the alternator changed something there- condenser or so.

3. Radiator returning water to the bottle (happened just once).

4. Horn location confusing (i used to mistakingly point either left or right in reflex). Can the horn be relocated to the steering wheel

Tuning accessories:
1. Fur seat and steering wheel covers
2. Hallogen headlamps.
3. Blue light under the car (should glow downwards @ night).
4. Better speakers for music, and a dvd player, car charger.
5. Flame tatoo on the hood
other suggestions are welcome

Petrol engine, had the carburator changed once to a peugeot carb. Nigerian mechanics now..

If you look on the identifying plate in the engine bay, the engine code will be embossed on it. Just copy all the details there. It's also in the driver's door shut, on a sticker.

With that info, I'll tell you what engine your car has, and tuning options.

On the plate, the numbers are:
f3n l 7 40/
1007448

Then slightly above it is M59 8 160

nice car but instead of renault 19 why not go for the Laguna 1996-1998 model.i have used the laguna for 4years ,before i sold it i wouldnt mind buying that car again and again,,,mine was the manual stick,

Had a lot of things these days distracting my attention.
More troubles, but minor ones tho. The kick is brushing against the flywheel. This left metal grains on the flywheel area. Mechanic said i will have to change the kick sproket, the size was not the required.

Battery having a problem also. Gotta go for dry cell once and for all...

Got a new dry cell ba3, aadamannt 75ah dry cell Korea standard. Gotta get a bigger radiator fan as I am battling the kick and flywheel problem.
