My analysis of what transpired is that Nigeria is not too far away from American democracy. All we need is to get free and fair election which is just like one third of what democracy stands for.

The members in the house debated and voted according to party lines. Assuming Nigeria is faced with the same scenario today, I am certain the same thing would still happened. That's why i consider this statement of those saying in a saner environment and all of that, as not in tandem with the reality. Otherwise, how come no democrat condemned Trump actions, and no Republican saw that he acted wisely. All of them spoke and acted in likewise direction.
