You are making the mistaking of equating the Senate tried as an impeachment process. The Impeachment started and ended in the House, what will take place in the Senate is a trial to either acquit or convict him and he will be acquitted, but his acquit will not change any single fact that, he has been impeached....so the impeachment will stand forever, it is legal and final.

Correction: OP, it was not only Democrats and Republicans that voted for and against respectively. In each case, 2 Democrats voted against the impeachment, and 1 Independent voted Neutral.

Shut up. It's not everything you talk down your country about. I guess you're uneducated enough or too young to know that at least 5 governors have been impeached in this country since the beginning of the 4th Republic in 1999. We're talking about real impeachment where they left office immediately not this meaningless one the US did yesterday that will be reversed by their Senate eventually. President Trump will survive. He is being persecuted because of his anti-establishment stand. He condemned and stood against gay and same sex marriages, routed shemales out of US armed forces, condemned illegal entry into USA, condemned radicalism and terrorism, supports Israel in their struggle against the Palestine, blocked illegal entry of Mexicans and drugs into America by constructing a wall between the two countries, support establishment of industries in America instead of imports from China. Nancy Pelosi is considering not handing over the Articles of Impeachment that were SOOOO NECESSARY to "security of this nation" so that the Senate can conduct the trial.
