Even the great Chinese can not produce aircraft spare parts,this old men are just looking for people to kill

The Chinese do produce aircraft parts. In fact the Chinese have a well developed aircraft manufacturing industry. The Chinese produced their first jet fighter in 1958 and have since gone ahead to produce all types of fighter jets that today China remains the only country after the US and Russia to have produced its fifth generation stealth fighter. The only area in which China is lacking behind the US and Europe is in the commercial airplane field dominated mainly by Boeing and Airbus. But with successes CAMAC has made in the production of its ARJ21 and C919 planes, I think China is now well positioned to compete with America and Europe in commercial airplane category. What I am trying say is that China actually manufactures its planes.

I think I agree more with the bicycle guy. Do we even manufacture bicycles in Nigeria anymore? We never produce passive machine like bicycle, na the one wey get motor engine we dey find.

Time to avoid air travels.

We should start small with the production of motorcycle and auto spare parts instead of this elephant project. Who are we going to make the jet spare parts for? Nigerian government likes to embark on unrealistic projects just so it appears Nigeria is on par with developed countries, where is the outcome of the satellite project that was launched through another country some years back which cost billions of Naira? Real development should be from bottom up not from top down. Nigerian people should carry any development projects embarked upon by the government not some foreign expatriates. Our capacity now as a people can only cope with low or medium-skilled projects like textiles, agricultures, mining, consumer products, arts and fashions, and some low-skilled automobile development, etc. But diving into making jet parts is way too overambitious at the moment, not only in terms of feasibility but also because the project will have little impact on the common man on the street, it is just another way of diverting Nigeria money into a foreign pocket.

.. Let me open you up to the reality in the Aerospace world... Certifying just a small part of a Boeing 747-400 (RB211-524HT) ordered from let's say, Rolls Royce by the CAA before installing it into the engine is a huge task ..... only if your Minister knows what his saying !!!!
