I'm not going to bother with the verbosity above, but I'm taking you up on the last bombast: yes send me a gift.

If you can't then you're just one among a long line of internet braggarts with nothing to show for it.

If writing CVs is how you earn your living then i won't bash you for it, even if the argument lying as the foundation of that enterprise is quite shaky and manipulative.

I'm waiting for my gift, and if you send me crap I'll post it here.
I can see you are now employing your professional training in this case. Now trying to be personable and friendly, hallmarks of a social scientist. Just so you know I make pennies but don't write CV for a living, 8 years ago my work involved recruiting and managing some 200 workers daily.

I will give you a gift and it's up to you "the receiver" to make it known. You also don't have to appreciate it because I only gave you a date and not the type of gift, besides I don't give to receive in-return. The person who gave me my vacation gift has not received the most help from me but I can say the least help.

I will hit you up on Friday

I'm not warming up to you, I'm simply calling you out on your boasts.

I assure you whatever gift you propose, while not inconsequential, will be insubstantial.

We're all waiting....

When God grace is sufficient for you, write the worst CV for a job meant for 1000000 applicants, yours will be accepted

You have a right of refusal, I'll not be angry if you reject my gift. I will not appease you by giving an iphone 11 pro max or a note 10. And since you're so sure it's insubstantial, You can just let it pass for someone else, gifts must go out. I don't boast, I only made a promise.

I'm not in need of the phones you mentioned, I'm only refuting your presumption that i NEED your gift, because it's in your tone when you suggested i was chumming up to you because of it.

Do whatever you wish with your gift, i was merely interested to see you fulfill your boast.

Pass it on to the needy.

Sometimes, those 2-3 sentence grammar makes an interesting read but they are NEVER the deciding factor.

Being an employer myself, my major focus is on...
Educational qualification esp field of study;
Work experience as it relates to the vacancy;
Your sex...some jobs have gender preference;
Your age;
Skills.....

Achievement, professional certification, organizational membership, awards are added advantage that gives you an edge.
You're an indie book publisher. How on earth would that dictate gender suitability for your business?

You make it sound too easy!

My point was i didn't roam distributing CVs like mad.

I was fortunate to learn some skills that work for me pre- and post-employment.

Technical skills.

With the labour market being over saturated, how many HR Personnel has the time to be asking you for your Reference at a later date. You had better include everything that you have once n for all n let the employer decides what he/she wants. Good luck in your search for good jobs.

Some genre have more fan base in a particular gender demography.

It would be wise to choose a gender that represents the higher fan base of the genre.

See you..
I used to believe these craps till I was privileged to be in company of a coded recruitment consultant sometimes ago.

Mind you, majority of those hanging in the necks of companies in the name of recruitment consult are not the real recruiters.

The real recruiters are those retired men. Who have spent 20 to 30 years of their lives in practice, training and recommending technically vibrant youths for sustainability of the system.

Most time, they are the last stage of recruitment and to those companies we see that has been operating for God knows how long without news of recruitment for a day, these experienced men are first and last stage of their recruitment exercise.

Some companies are too busy to create time for recruitment, they simply accept those recommended by these retired men based on how conversant they were with the system while they were in the office and how well the system trust their decision in accordance with some sacrifices.

On few occasion, I've sat with these guys reviewing CV, it's mostly done when well settled about the latest part of the night, I've heard repeatedly saying "see this one.. Referee on request.. what will it cost him to put it.. how I wish he knows.." sitting near him has made me learnt so much about these CV things..

I've codedlly taken part in recruitment exercise in the past, despite that I only sat there to warm the seat as I had no knowledge of what to ask.

The most important thing is, ensure your details make the flash point and do not write "CURICULUM VITAE" on the page.

The right thing is..

EZEKIEL GABRIEL JOEL. (MNSChE, MNSE)
then followed by your personal details.
Skip career objective stuff please, no one have interest in them and only makes the CV tiring to view. Concentrate on details of achievements.

Be smart about formatting your page and use bullets where necessary. Do not skip any detail as it might be the only advantage you have ahead of other CVs in comparison.

Note that Selected achievement is not the same with Professional experience.

For example, if you had worked in a bank as a bulk counter, and you recommended the use of automatic bulk accumulation alarm system that is programmed to sound when any cashier has up to 5Million in his or her save, Tellering will fall under Professional experience while "recommendation, follow up for discussion and review for installation of.." and many more will be under selected achievement sub heading.

Please add your hobbies and referees..
So many things constitutes consistency.
And always save a copy of every CV sent for you own use, especially those who edit CVs from time to time..

..my humble but candid opinion please!

These CV hawkers won't allow us to rest.

No HR ever gives out jobs because of CV format.

Get a powerful benefactor and see how to get a job without even a CV.
I feel like dashing u one full chicken for this contribution. Many of the best jobs today r gotten not thru beauty of CV but rather direct referrals or direct sabi-person.

Others just need to be able to prove they are knowledgeable thru personal projects that can be flaunted. Las Las CV na scam
