The average man on the street is the reason why politicians are able to do the nonsense that they do in Nigeria. They take the petty trinkets from politicians to turn a blind eye, or vote. They pay the bribes for public services. They even elicit bribes themselves in their day-to-day lives.

They may be the victim but they are also the problem.

Perhaps he'd see this and learn instead of expecting the leaders, who have never given a damn about him, to give a damn about him.
