Kai! I remember when someone justified Guen starting ahead of Torreria by saying Ebening was keeping Torreira fresh for the 2nd half of the season because he was rusty and lacked conditioning.

Very simple and he will commit himself in process put the team in trouble, this is what I have been trying to let those fans see
u sef see Xhaka today.

My question is why hasn’t any manager post Emery made Guen a key starter. But but he was our best midfielder. Emery was just using our club to promote his person.

That's the same thing we've also been telling guen supporters. But they felt Emery starting him justifies everything. Now 2 managers in and both favors the pivots(torreira and xhaka) most of us here have been talking about.
Them no know ball.

Nice gesture from Arteta to encourage Nelson after his horror show....I still feel Europa and fa should be our priority

Considering we have dominated the game, it is a shame we conceded. Saka lost the ball but someone else should be covering for him early before that cross came in.
It was Xhaka who was supposed to be filling in for Saka, but he chose to stand in empty space ball watching, rather than mark the opponent and prevent crossing from coming in.

Xhaka's positional awareness is zero, we are not going anywhere with Xhaka a regular starter. He also gave away possessions at dangerous areas today as well, just that Bournemouth is out of form and made nothing out of them.

How would you rate ozil's game yesterday?

but I felt ystdy was one of xhakas best game this season. He made some tackles, gave key forward passes and helped build up play from the back. Arteta says he likes him and would have bought him for Manchester city, now that he's got him, let's see how he will use him. Maybe, just maybe, xhaka might be our new Ramsey after injury. (Hated at first, then turned into a legend later)

Isn't it obvious English media are protecting Frank Lampard? You barely see a news about them losing. Lampard is having a easy ride.

But you need to see the media foaming in the mouth after Arteta's draw yesterday.

personally, I feel lampard shouldn't be under any undue pressure due to the ban they had and losing their best players. This is a trial period for them as team will go through a purple patch once in a while. Next season, I believe will be the time to access lampard well not this season( so yeah, the media are very right to protect him).
Also, Arteta ought to receive same treatment lampard is getting. I've not seen any news tho negative against Arteta after ystdy's game tho

was on a trip yesterday couldn’t see the game.

Though we shouldn’t be trying to rate Ozil at this point he has paid his dues. We should be shopping for Ozil and Xhaka’s replacements.

true tho, ozil have paid his dues. But we still need him, cos nobody can play that 10 as he does, so we need consistent good performances from him till at least summer window. Xhaka I read is as good as gone to Hertha Berlin

Wetin Guendouzi do una again? Una no go let the small boy rest? He play problem, he nor play nsogbu.

Fact is he won best club player couple of months ago and was nominated for best young prospect. Every match he started he deserved. If he hasn't started another, probably others deserved more than him. Besides he is not the only player to taste bench recently.

Coming here to hit on the guy qnd use him to get relevance is very immature and silly and shows lack of self esteem.

If you ask me, I think Ozil was quite impressive but his labor did not bear fruits in the final third. He was involved in our attacks and linked up very well with the midfielders. The more impressive fact is that he worked his socks off, you need to see how baba was sweating and breathing when he was substituted. He pressed hard along with the other forwards and midfielders.
That being said, like @kokane said, it is time for us to start looking for his replacement, infact, a replacement should have been identity by now so we can transition him out of the first team through a transfer because I can assure you he would not want to sit on the bench.

at the bolded is what I noticed ystdy aside the numerous chances he created. The pressing ozil did yesterday was really really surprising. Really impressed from everyone aside nelson and lacazette.

Yeah, we need an attacking midfielder really. Plus wingers. I hope Arteta or sanhelli gets our transfer needs right this summer window.

I say the midfield was the best since wengay left...it was as if ozil was on life support yesterday while trying to sit down grin grin
Fvck ebening and Jerry curl, atleast our major concern now is the useless defence

Considering how hard they trained and played, the bulk of the players who played that game will be sore because i don't think we have played with that level of intensity and energy in a very long time! The team has little recovery time considering games are coming fast and hard. We play Chelsea on Sunday and to me that is a winnable game but recovery is very important.

yeah recovery is another issue here, I heard the team trained on Christmas day and let's not forget guardiola boys always go on long injury.
My point is am not saying Arteta shouldn't drill them but it should be gradual, the way I see ozil yesterday over pity they worry me for the guy grin grin

useless defence and wingers o.
We really need a winger in our play. At least pepe and someone. I'm still hopeful of how Arteta wants to use ceballos in our play.
