Gowon is lying through his teeth. He does not want to tell Nigerians the truth. Ojukwu and Gowon signed an Agreement in Aburi that restructured Nigeria into a confederation of 4 Regions

The North hated that agreement because it denied them the opportunity to dominate the other 3 Regions that were in the South

So Gowon broke the agreement he signed by abolishing the 4 Regions and creating 12 states. Suddenly, the North that used to be one Region, had 6 states, while the south that was 3 Regions had only 6 states.

By breaking the Aburi agreement, Gowon left Ojukwu no other choice than to declare Biafra. It was either that or face Northern domination

The declaration of Biafra led to the war but it was Gowons breaking of the Aburi agreement that directly led to declaration of Biafra

Many people simply dont know that Ojukwu only fought to free his people from Northern domination

Those who supports Gowon should have no reason to be against Sharia law in any state that has up to 45 Percent Muslims because those Muslims there can't be judged by common law.

They need to be judged under Islamic law ( Sharia)

I never expected Gowon to still respond the way he's responding and since he persists, I'll simply conclude that whatever happened then was deliberately orchestrated by him. I can clearly see his bitterness at Ojukwu and I ask for what crime exactly? You Gowon said you tried to unite the country after the war by mentioning the little reconstructions you did. I then ask why we still had issues of abandoned properties. What about the demotions of government workers in the civil service plus the Awo 20pounds policy? What about the Asaba massacre? You said the federal Army prosecuted the war in a disciplined manner yet Benjamin Adekunle is well remembered for shooting anything that moves. How long did he commmand his troops? Imagine the innocent lives he must have wasted while at it. Gowon I was thinking you perhaps was personally a good man who didn't want the war prosecuted in such a wicked manner as your soldiers did and so should have acknowledged the truth about their brutality from the victims of the war but your blatant denial shows your culpability. I can't make excuses for you anymore. You are a very wicked old man. My people are justified for their continuous insistence on Biafra. Shame on you Gowon.
