To God be the glory, my princess is here. Passed my EDD and my OB asked me to come in for induction on Christmas day but I decided to enjoy Christmas rice before going in the next day. On va.ginal examination, cervix was 2cm dilated. Already I had started seeing bits of clear mucus plug for like 3weeks. Misop.rostol was introduced at past 12 midnight and within minutes, I started feeling contractions. From every 30mins to 20mins to 5mins to 3mins to 1min to 40secs. My DH was doing the timing. By the time it was 20secs apart, I was seeing stars meanwhile the doctor on duty was telling me I'm just 5cm. I said it's not possible from previous experience and begged the nurses with me to crosscheck after he had left and one said that she's touching the baby's head.. All this while, I was being encouraged to lie on my left side throughout and do breathing exercises whenever contractions hit. Anyways, within 5mins, the bag of waters broke and I began to feel a serious bearing down sensation like I wanted to poo. Called the nurses attention and on checking, took me to delivery room that the baby's head was already at the vj opening, another nurse went to call the doctor but before he arrived, God helped me and the nurses birth her, in 2 pushes she was out and the placenta followed immediately, no internal or external tear. Baby weight 3.43kg. Duration of labour: 4 hours. We have been discharged from hospital. Wishing all remaining preggy mamas swift delivery.

Maybe others will answer you.As for me, I advise u to get family planning done to avoid a repeat of this situation in future.If u don't want more kids, you take active steps to prevent pregnancy,not drinking salt water! Birth control is given free at government hospitals,go and do the one that suits your body.

50 naira condom or free birth control from govt hospital would have prevented this pregnancy.

I didn't want the child, God knows this... I calculated wrongly using rhythm method, the length of my cycle days vary a whole lot and because I wasn't sure, I drank salt water the next day.. Thanks for your input though.

I bought same flask oh. The seller asked me to put hot water to test it and the water remain hot for almost 2days.
Just test it.

this isn't the group for you ma...in here,we rejoice about being pregnant and also seek advice on the right things to do to ensure that our babies are fine.From your write up,you evidently wanted to get pregnant considering when you had sex and also not taking any precaution the prevent it.For a mom of 2 already,you should know things to do to avoid pregnancy.

Besides I don't think a developing foetus is an unborn child, pardon my limited knowledge....

Hi maam, I perfectly understand you. But see ehn ...this is a public forum. Even if anyone advises you to go and buy so so and so drug, Nairaland mods will take that post down. You know why, abortion is a very delicate thing. Before you know it, people are following the same advice and getting the same drugs which may end up harming them even if it doesn't harm you.
