Governor Emeka Ihedioha renames Jacob Zuma road to Mbazulike Amaechi road, as a mark of honor and respect to the foremost Leader and Nationalist on his 90th Birthday Celebration ongoing at Sam Mbakwe Hall, Concorde Hotel, Owerri.

Mbazulike Amaechi is the first Republic minister of Aviation, he was the man who harboured Late Nelson Mandela when he sought refuge in Nigeria during the apartheid. He is one of the few living Nationalist.

That's a good one by the peoples governor. We must stamp out bad names of people that are criminals from having their names on our roads. Same way our brothers in Enug renamed bisala road as the man was a condemned coupist .

What about the akpuru akpu statue?.

Just remove the head and construct another person's head and insert it and renamed it, case closed and also saves cost.

Why renaming it?

Very good. I like this decision. I hope other governor follow this step. Some property that own by government named after Nelson Mandela should be rename.

It was Amaechi who haboured Mandela in his apartment at Ikoyi as a refugee on the orders of Chief Azikiwe. So, any honour in that respect should first consider Mbazulike Amaechi before Mandela house boys.
