6 southwest governors demanded to meet Buhari over Amotekun today but Buhari is in London. He directed Osinbajo, IGP and Malami to meet and grant them their wishes on Amotekun.
Today in Ibadan, 6 Attorney Generals of 6 states in Yoruba land; representing Oyo, Ogun, Osun, Ondo, Ekiti and Lagos met the Speaker of Oyo State on developing a bill to be made laws across South West Nigeria as operational laws of Operation Amotekun. All the 6 South West states Houses of Assembly are expected to pass the bills on Amotekun as soon as possible.
Now hear this, Yorubas don't really ask for something but when they do in unity WE will get it.

SOUTH WEST SPEAKERS PLEDGES LEGISLATIVE BACKING TO OPERATION AMOTEKUN
South West legislatures have pledged to give total support to the newly launched regional security outfit code-named "Operation Amotekun" through the formulation of necessary legislation that will clear all doubt on the legality of the initiative. They made the pledge at the meeting of the Southwest Speakers held in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital. Dwelling on the theme of the meeting, "The imperative of western Nigerian security network (operation Amotekun): legislative support for the initiative" Chairman, southwest conference of Speakers, Right Honourable Bamidele Oleyelogun, commended the Governors of the Southwest states for their pro-active step in combating the rising threats to the security of lives and properties of residents of the region. He said the regional security force will help to complement efforts of security agencies, which he described as overstretched. While welcoming his colleagues to the conference, the Speaker Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon Adebo Ogundoyin said the meeting was apt as it provided opportunity for them to give support to the Governors in the South West who are poised to give security the attention it deserves. " The enthusiasm shown by my colleagues in giving legislative strength and support to the newly launched Operation Amotekun is overwhelming and will assist the conference to achieve more successes for the zone in other critical sectors." "As for those who are unnecessarily agitated because of the new security force , let me say without fear or favor that members of the squad will work with other security agencies to ensure their activities are within the ambit of the law."
