Arteta did well. Like heck he transformed sad football to sweet inless than 5days.. Haba. Give him some slack. He however was supposed to tighten those holes by tiring players in the middle plus the tiredness pf Lacazette that killed that sweet counterattack cos he cpuld run no further. Mustafi has zero technical sense. Forget if he won anything, but defenders in our npfl would close down on Abraham when Willian was passing to him, instead of running straight back to meet leno with nobody in sight in blue. |

Spy360:I feel we would have finished the game first half, esp with auba cut back to lacazette, but the latter's poor first touched ruined everything. That would have been a sucker punch there, but laca just didn't want to turn up. Nobody can really deny our massive improvement in play, but as origin pointed out, they had better technical midfielder than us, and I think that, was the difference in the day. Cos their midfield really made them to really pressure us, and our attack really became blunt when the pressure was much. Not taking off lacazette aided the pressure cos he was really really tired and greatly panting as of the 60min. Onto the next game tho, to be sincere, I'm sad it's man u. With our increasing injuries and lean squad, and their momentum on the rise I'm not so optimistic. But then, finger crossed, I hope some of our guys will be back and I really do hope for a win |

Spy360:If I remember correctly: Geundouzi (already on yellow) clearly pushes Abraham to the ground in the 18 yard box and referee overlooks it. No sign of VAR review at all. Jorginho (already on yellow) gets in the way of an Arsenal player in midfield and referee awards a foul. Deems the challenge not deserving of a yellow card. Where is the "twice" coming from? |

iamoyindamola:Just imagine if Emery put behind his selfish agenda and ego and partnered Xhaka with Torreira and Ozil as 10 from the beginning. With the exception of Torreira, how many of Emery’s signings have been regular starters post Emery? The dolt just wasted our money and time. Need to go curse him on his IG page it’s been long i did. |

kokaneprodigy:You need to see how this people picked torreira as the useless one among the trio just because he flopped at anfield last season. Guess what, he went to the same anfield twice this season and scored but but Jerry curl is our best midfielder. We Dan suffer for here |

Jodera:Leno hasn't been too good all season. Our poor defense has been hiding him. He is prone to those types of moments of madness we saw yesterday. He leads the stat amongst EPL GKs for most mistakes leading to goal. He has committed such blunders 6 times in a year now. You are right. The substitution of Nelson for Pepe opened up that Wing of our pitch. Chelsea ran freely down that wing. Pepe is useless both in defense and in attack. He is really beginning to look like an expensive flop. |

pazienza:check most saves we had this season, and you'll find out that Leno have the 2nd most saves in EPL after duvbraka. He also is the keeper that have faced the most shot in EPL. I mean, a goal keeper facing 15 shots per match ought to be in relegation zone. To be sincere bro, him and auba have been our saving grace this season... The two times I know he f**kd up was against Tottenham and ystdy match. Aside that, he's been saving us time to time. I feel Arteta will work on Pepe. I'm giving him(pepe) benefit of this season tho. I hope he doesn't turns out 2b flop, cos we can't afford for him to be one o |

pazienza:How can u even say "our poor defence has been hiding him" Did u watch the Arsenal-Tottenham match? Did u see the goal-bound free kick saved from Eriksen? Did u watch the most recent Arsenal- Man city where he saved one terrible shot from De Bruyne? Even against Norwich he saved us countless times. If Leno was really as bad as "not being good all season" as u claim, we would've been conceeding average of 5 to 7 goals per game. If u want to list top performers in that team, he will surely rank second just after Auba. Having a bad game is normal for footballers. That guy has been clearing the messes of them Xhaka allowing opposing players run tru midfield straight at defence, he's been saving the clowns at the back after embarrassing display they put out week in weak out in the name of defence. Maybe Leno is not perfect but trust me he's a complete upgrade from the shitty goalkeeping Czech served us in his last days. |

pazienza:I know you were angry about that error Leno made, I was too intact ashamed on his behalf because this is our best player after auba. Just so unfortunate we couldn't get anything out of that match and I hope Arteta will raise their spirits cos these players are the type that will give up anytime soon if results isn't going well |

| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Nobody: 8:31am On Dec 31, 2019 |
Jodera:he’s showing good signs really, he just needs to work on his excessive dribbling (knowing when to release the ball) and defending. With Martinelli back I want to see Aubs flanked by Mart and Pepe, Ozil in the hole and a pivot of Xhaka/Ceb and Torreira. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Jodera: 8:38am On Dec 31, 2019 |
kokaneprodigy:Yes, I'm not giving up on him to, since there are obvious sign of potential in him. He just needs a good coach to harness his talent and I hope Arteta is the man for it. He just needs to work on his work rate also I think you should exclude xhaka from your list, I read that he didn't come to training on Fri and Sat cos of his impending transfer to Hertha, so he's as good as gone. |
