Five days ago, the Nigerian national claimed that Immigration officials had mistreated him at the JKIA.

ths is what he said:

“I arrived Kenya 21st and today 27th I was to get to Maputo from Nairobi only for immigration officers to stop me insinuating the following a. I could have a fake ticket (like really?)…That I and Nigerians are criminal (I was criminalized without even verifying or even taking a look at my ticket, travel history or anything. All it took was a sight of my green passport. My passport wasn’t even opened by any of the immigration officers,” Ernert said.

He further termed the airport officials as ‘condescending and discriminatory’ adding that they had apparently used xenophobic remarks.

The govt of Kenya

“We wish to state that Michael was not singled out because of his nationality neither was he called a criminal,” the statement adds.

It was further indicated that Mr. Ernest was in the company of other travelers and one of them, who was from Rwanda and had an onward/return ticket, was cleared to proceed to Maputo.

We are diversifying the economy our manufacturing sector is seriously increasing we are bringing in longrich one of the largest cosmetics brands in the world and they are spending 550 million dollars to enter the African market through Nigeria and at least 75 more companies have bought their plots of land in the Lekki free trade zone and will start construction so as I said manufacturing sector is expanding infact it expanded by 80% last quarter, there is also textiles were coming for you we have started making textiles and clothes for Chinese company and soon by 2025 at least 4 million people will be employed in the textiles sector and it will generate 15 billion dollars

Agriculture we have stopped the importation of rice saving us money added to that we are finally going to stop importing palm oil and start exporting 750 million dollar of palm oil rather next year than Russia is going to develop our wheat farming system and make us the largest producer of it in Africa, there are many other examples with tomatoes, pineapple, coffee, tea, chocolate, Shea, sorghum, Barley etc we are trying to be able to be self sufficient with the current food staples and that is happening

Than in technology the government signed a contract with China which will be completed in 5 years to build over 200 000km of broadband cables around the country added to that the contract also includes setting up 5G and teaching 50 Nigerian students how to build and maintain the 5G telecom service

So when is say we are leaving oil and that our economy is growing my guy just don’t try and Shawn e completely depend on oil we are very quickly diversifying and soon we will make it to the 1 trillion dollar economy mark most likely we’ll be the first in Africa

My friend you are a total illiterate typing from your keyboard in UK. Russia what happened to Elijah Steel plant you have not forgotten Russia is the biggest wheat producer in the world which exports to Nigeria do they want to lose that markets. Please you know nothing about agriculture so is better you just sit down youngboy. Also from what I am hearing all of those investments in Nigeria and debt when Nigerian government is owing a country a lot of money they tell the country to come and put up a factory in Nigeria free of charge

nice try

The value system here, though not as strong as it used to be 20 years ago
did not breakdown.
There is basically nothing like child prostitution here.

here, prostitutes are usually in their late 20s and above.

There are child beggars, you should try that line of argument
maybe you'll win

Just like I thought. I'm not here to 'win' arguments with you anymore than I'm here to learn Hungarian! I'm here as a truth warrior which means I seek out the real and tell the world.
Stop the infantile denial and logically convince me everyone who saw and interacted with your thousands of child hos, slaves and Trokosi girls was somehow suffering mass delusion.

Talk is cheap.
1) No manufacturing can happen in an environment where basic electricity is still rocket science - and where infrastructure has nearly totally collapsed. Once you fix electricity - you can talk about manufacturing. For now all those wet dreams about Longrich, Lekki and textiles are just tall tales

2) Agriculture - .Beyond the rosy make-believe stats - the real proof of the Nigerian pudding is in eating them. Food inflation has risen to nearly 15% - thanks to borde closure - because the rice scam run by your CBN doesn't translate to real production.

3) Your gov is BROKE - BANKRUPT. The federal gov of Nigeria is spending SHOCKING 75% of it's revenues to service debts. It has to borrow locally to pay salaries and pension. A broke gov cannot build infrastructure (capita expenditure) when it cannot meet recurrent expenditure. That is why your gov has resorted to asking Dangote to build roads for them.

Let me just inform you what is going on in Nigeria when I visited the country. When Nigeria is Owen another country a lot of money they will tell the country to invest project in Nigeria then the government will be using its money to build those projects to pay off the debt. Once the project is built that is the end the company is no more interested they just park out of the country

We shall check with Thais and Indians if Benin and Cameroon are still importing the parboiled rice they don't typical consume and see if the border closure has been effective or not.

Thai Rice Exporters still show Benin as the biggest rice importer...you know if Nigeria rice 'revolution of lies' is a success the pain will be felt in Asia.

http://www.thairiceexporters.or.th/export%20by%20country%202019.html

The rice is now been smuggled through the Waterways from Benin Republic and from Cameroon through the sea into Nigeria the biggest smuggled point is makoko slum. That is now the heart of where the rice is smuggled in to Nigeria by rickety boats because the place is Lawless and actually it is not governed by the Nigerian government but buy some Warlords

one thing you dont know is, West Africa does not have a problem with eating what they produce.
Infact, in Nigeria, you cant afford to provide food services without using Nigerian rice.
Everyone that comes to buy will ask you if it is Nigerian rice.

You will be surprised the level of manufacturing happening in Nigeria.
Nigeria has really diversified it economy, it only problem today is to increse it effort in collecting taxes due the state.

A lot of the rice are still being imported. When they smuggle it they use white bags with no name on it so that it cannot be traced also most of the rice in Nigeria which are not in bags like opened most of those are imported rice so that it cannot be traced

Nigeria economy can be summarized by one word OIL.EIA forecasts a drop in oil prices in 2020 with US bringing in nearly 1M barrels per day more oil - so you don't expect growth rate of 2% (less than pop growth rate of 2.5%) to miraculously start growing at 3.4%.

How can a GDP growth rate be slower than population growth but still per capita is expanding, how does it work like that??

Smart countries like Kenya & Ethiopia leverage from Chinese very competitive loans (nearly the same concessional terms (i.e zero interest rate) like IMF/WB/IDB loans -with long maturity) BUT without conditionalities.

IMF colonies like Ghana under the york of IMF have to literally hand over their "GOLDEN STOOL" smiley to Brettonwood - WashingtonDC who then prescribes very rough chemo and radio therapies on their economies - including cutting down on social spending & camping in Accra - with their pink noses- running the economy.

The worst like Nigeria borrow very EXPENSIVE SHORT TERM domestic loan - and have to spend - believe it or not - 75% of all their revenues paying debts - and then borrow - believe it or not - to pay salaries and pension.

A Ghanaian talking about dept!! Brother we have borrowed a lot from China but at least our loans go to useful projects which impacts positively to our economy. Meanwhile many sights use your country as a case study as far as dept is concerned. #IMF giants

Borrowing makes sense for poor countries if it finances things like roads, schools and hospitals, which improve welfare and support economic growth. But the keenest borrowers in Africa are also feckless spenders. Take Ghana, which racked up debt as it ran an average annual budget deficit of 10% from 2012 to 2016. When a new government entered office last year, it found a $1.6bn “hole” in the budget. The new chairman of the state cocoa board found that a $1.8bn loan meant to fund cocoa production in 2017 was “all gone”.

Ghana and Mozambique are the key nation that are well know for depts in Africa. So disgraceful to African continent. Am even shocked that you appeared on this China list! At least Mozambique knows their wellspring, they don't borrow everywhere like you !.Those are your mates bro.
