I live in Lagos, I schooled in IMO and anambra state, I have gone for holidays in ilorin and Ogun state, I'm presently serving in offa, kwara state..

I have discovered dat most nigerian gals like bleaching their skin but d yoruba gals really do it most and surprisingly I have seen yoruba boys also bleaching their skin...
Now, my question is WHY WILL SOMEONE BLEACH HIS OR HER SKIN...is there any special treatment/attention given to people with fair skin
Pls someone should help me answer cos it seriously baffles me

Prof, I think the reason people bleach is due to low self esteem, they feel their natural complexion is not beautiful enough hence the idea of infiltrating their skin .


One might say that lack of proper education and illiteracy is a major cause of bleaching but unfortunately, the educated and exposed are more involved in the activity .

U are very correct sir...They are feeling inferior... But I also still guess dat one of d reasons is dat most of dem wanna flow d trend or because their friends do it
