Life is a cycle.
Yesterday it was the Sarakis, today it's the turn of Abdul the Governor and tomorrow it will surely be someone else's.

In this life, never use your position to victimize another because your position will eventually cease to exist.
Friends of the current Governor should advise him. From all indications, that house wasn't just a structure, it was a cherished treasure and symbol of something for the Sarakis.
he should have done better by paying for the land

Fela shrine was lease from ibenate when Fela dead the family won the court case and got them land back

what next now we only have Femi shrine not his father Fela shrine

The assignment given the governor by the ranks of APC in Kwara state is to destroy the Saraki's stronghold on the state. This was apparent in the campaign slogan - 'o to ge'. In order to achieve this objective, the governor will need to exploit the crack in Saraki's family. The scripture says a house divided against itself cannot stand. I wonder how parents raise children who grew under the same roof yet don't see face to face. It is a shame on their father that after his demise, his children cannot stick together to resist assault on his so called legacy. There is no bigger legacy than to leave a united family. A man who cannot unite his home, is not fit to govern any group of sane people.

Leave that guy, I observed that he just joined NL about 10days ago. He is obviously ignorant of how tribalism has been dealt with in the forum. He is still learning and will soon realize that people in NL are tired of tribalistic posts and sentiments.

It didn't come from external sources but the people themselves. When we stop seeing what is wrong as right. When we start commending and rewarding good, then cautioning and punishing evil. When the truth prevails out of people's naturally resolute will, not from sentiments nor for materialistic interest. Then, should all this societal ills stop. I, my dear, do hope that that time comes hastily or else i shiver for my offsprings (which i don't want if not for mother nature and parents wahala, Lol).

yes it was.the fulanis defeated the cowards in a war,so therefore all the land belongs to them.
For example, imagine if ss/se biafrans were not defeated in 1960s war, they would have still control their resources.
Allow Saraki to answer for himself, thanks.

(2) Will You call it an hate that Your boy is reclaiming fund that was stolen from You by a thieve?

Re: Saraki Reacts As Kwara Government Demolishes "Ile Arugbo" by akdjr(m): 7:32am On Jan 03, 2020
Have you take your time to read the Governor's claim on why the building was demolished? The Government land meant for public infrastructure development was acquired illegally by the late Saraki. So many ex Governors alive are also guilty of same illegal acquisition of government land while in power and it will only take time, but such land will be revoke in future. Don't support injustice just because of emotion or support. The same people who would have benefit from the public infrastructure hadn't been it was build according to plan are those protesting now for a peanut.

His reaction is for his mumu supporters.. The kwara state government said you converted public property to your own use without approval from the government the reasonable people want you to come out with evidence that the said property belong to you

They recovered stolen property and you're crying hatred cos that's what your undeveloped mind can see. Next time, you think well before you jump into issues and spew nonsense.
still damn! people will never cease to amaze me, just like that? you just accused me of crying hatred cos of this particular saraki issue, am bereft of words cos I can't explain this stupidity cum accusations, does it mean I can't express myself without being accused or misunderstood? can't you ask questions where you find yourself lost in my expressions, just go and die and leave me out of your misery.

APC is going too far on this. Shame on Gbemi Saraki.
You see this is type of mentality that is setting Nigeria back. Black folks love to just move on and forget crimes that have been committed in the past. They will say that happened in the past, let's just move on.
When you do that, you are telling others it's ok to steal and commit other crimes and you will be forgiven in due time.

Nothing is more important that setting a precedent, you set one by letting others know that this is what will happen to you should you try this in the future.
That's why police departments will still be looking for murderer that killed someone more than 30 yrs ago.
It is simply to create a mindset that no matter how long, you will not get away with. Some will.still get away but you cannot say that the govt should leave the building alone when the land in question belong to the people.

Following development this morning in Ile Arugbo, I want to commend the women, men, old and young, who displayed their affection, love and staunch support for my late father and the family.

I appreciate the genuine support of the women and youths who stood firmly in the face of aggression and naked show of force.
Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki.

Your action throughout the night gave full expression to my belief that what Ile Arugbo represents to all of us is etched in our hearts. It goes beyond the physical structure. I am happy that you were not intimidated as you stood your ground.

This day will go down as the day you reciprocated the love and affection my father and family have for you. You have displayed a gesture of goodwill and passionate love. We assure you that justice shall prevail in a not too distant future.

May God bless us all.
I will put d blame squarely on the Sarakis table..
You guys were in power for more than 16 years in the state...You couldn't perfect the occupancy document of the property... perhaps u believed nothing dey happen....
Now a new sheriff is in town and things have gone south...

All the blame lies on Bukola's feet. The legacy/house has crumbled under his leadership.
The legacy already started having cracks when Bukola embarrassed his own father, by using the same teeth the father helped him sharpen to bite the old man.
He was cursed by his own father for going against him, and standing in the path of his own blood sister.
Bukola is a selfish man, and doesn't believe in the common good. He is all about self.
