Watermelon thrives in arid climate that's why it's easy to plant and have good yield in the north. if you are in the north u can try it and send ur produce to d South for good profit.

if that 100k is ur last hope dnt put it on watermelon if u are in d South. my advice

You can try that too + good fertilizer I will recommend super gro. That's what I'm using in my farm. But I'm not telling u not to grow d crop in d South at all I just don't want u to use a trial and error method with ur 100k capital

My neighbour in farm tried planting it on six acres of land twice last year but the results was fatal, in fact he never harvest one single Mellon. Up till now his life never remains the same. Though am not against you trying it, 100k is not much for a research and development.
Universities use billions.

don't recommend super gro to any farmer that is not using drip for irrigation, super gro is not a fertilizer but a soil conditioner that makes soil wetter and absorb more moisture,it's made to be used in semi arid climate for water conservation management

I have seen big melon farms in the south but the trick is getting the planting date right to aviod to much rain and water on the leafs,if you target to plant and start harvest by may-june it will be ok,but seriously why playing betnaja with your hard earned money on ogbanje crop, why not cucumbers and save yourself from had I know.

So if I dnt use drip irrigation super gro won't work abi? maybe dats ur own method. have been using super gro on my plantain without drip irrigation and d result is encouraging. and moreover super gro is not only used for crops, fish farmers and poultry farmers also use super gro so ur claim that super gro is only a soil conditioner is wrong.

am thinking of cultivating mix croping. Both the water melon and the cocumber. I have high risk apetite. Either investment of not the hundred would be spent

my dear farmer friend pls don't try that thing on your fish or poultry farm,a farmer friend lost hundreds of matured fish to super gro application in fish pond,I have severally told the dealers to properly educate farmers on it's uses but they will choose to ignore the facts and tell farmers what they want to hear that it will make everything big overnite even pigs, very funny, super gro is a surfactant and soil adjuvcant that allows the soil to absorb more moisture and help plants to absorb more nutrients , whatever nutrients it contains is so small to be neglige able.

I don't like it when someone tries to convince someone not to try something, especially in agriculture.

He said he has a big appetite for risks, why the caution then?

My brother, abeg give it a try, we are here waiting to learn from your experience.

Thank you sir. Starting from march, i will post on every propagating step on the farm. Either i post it here or open a new trend topic on agric section. If my little text runing could work, i have the same faith on a 1 acre cultivation on watermelon starting from the month of march.

Super gro is uselesssssssssssssss.
Never buy that shit.
Every dealer is a chronic liar.
They never said the truth about the product and still don't.
Currently, no liquid fertiliser is good.
Don't waste your money.
I miss Plantzyme. It was a beast fertiliser.
Super gro is never a fertiliser.
Every dealer is like Nigerian police.
Liars

For the best chemicals for watermelon we have the following;
For pre-emergence herbicide we have Buster
Post- Emergence herbicide make use of Gallant Super
For insecticide USE Vanguish.
Make us of our products from start to finish for the best yield and output.
