this is why you should realize we are here cos of our love for the game. The events of the past months have left very terrible taste in the mouth. Not just because the results were not coming forth, but also because the style of play left no hope in sight.

This is why every criticism should be debated rather than hitting below the belt.

Cos when all is said and done we all want to see what attracted us to the sport and the club as well.

Arteta wants a set of eyes to watch our games from a different angle and then communicate what he sees from there.
This is where the shape and compactness of the team comes in, especially when he is implementing the press or pushing his defenders higher up the field.
Freddy reports to Arteta what he is seeing with regards to the shape of the team with and without the ball from the overhead position which is a vantage position for watching how a formation/ tactic is working.
This is why there has been so much improvement in the coordination, compactness and shape of our game.

Let's hope it yields more good results

@ iamoyindamola One of Pep’s strengths is having a reliable bench. You also have to remember Chambers will be out for months we need backup for the rest of the season, what happens if Luiz gets injured.
You can’t get Rugani in January.

How much do you think they’ll charge us for Rugani? We have other priorities in Summer, left wing and midfield. You don’t expect us to rely on Ozil next season when u factor his age. We need a 3rd potent DM to rotate with Xhaka and Torreira Incase of injuries.

Ozil is 31 he’ll be 32 in October I don’t think he’ll be able to keep up with the kinda pace Arteta wants. Not sure Guen and Smith will be ready to replace him as a 10 next season which is just some months away. They haven’t even played in that role under Arteta.

i still believe getting Boateng in defence isn’t a bad idea as long as the price is cheap cos he’s got the experience he can even help in the growth of the younger CBs we’ve got. we should prioritize spending on the midfield for now. If we have a formidable midfield, having Boateng and Luiz in CB won’t be a bad idea don’t forget we still have Mustaffi, Rob Holding and Chambers for the long term.

The formation worked because Lingard was shit. If Lingard was any good enough to drag players towards him like Pogba will do in similar role, Arsenal's defensive shape would've crack as Rashford would've been free most of the times or in a 1v1 against Sokratis.
