All you get is an army of hustlers and not real war machines.

But wait ooo.. when going for a rescue operation like this, isn't it wise to call for helicopter back up and have one or two snipers? Or better still send nore rescue teams. People who have the mind to hijack a whole vessel won't come to play at all. They will be ready for anything. We really need to fund our security forces with modern and proper equipment to fight crime. We cannot just allow them to be getting killed anyhow because of lack of proper funding.

The nigerian militry officers are senseless.its just like getting an information that theres robbery going on in your house, and you just came and walk in straight through the door instead of entering strategically..combat sense is zero..out of six men four died like fowl.. no pirate killed vessel still stolen...nigeria grow up..

They are dieing daily many not being reported mostly in the northeast....due to corruption in the military... So many widows in the barracks , and these same general sacrificing the lives of those gallanta soldiers are still sleeping with their widows in the name of helping them to get their gratuity...

What do you mean by illegal fishing? You took their lands and began drilling their oil and now you want to stop them fishing too? Who owns the land and the waters? If there was no natural resources would the govt ever have any presence in their community?

And why did they draft ordinary cadet boys to go and exchange bullets with sea pirates? They just wasted those boys lives.

These guys are not properly recruited and trained. There’s zero tactical awareness in their approach to warfare, this is a very big problem with the Nigerian armed forces. You will know a well trained marksman from the way he handles his rifle.

Yes, the pirates need to be dealt with seriously by the military. They need to be taught a lesson!

Illegal fishing is a big problem in the Gulf of Guinea, Na foreigners dey do illegal fishing not the locals
