No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. - 1 Corinthians 10:13

For you may be sure of this, that everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous (that is, an idolater), has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. - Ephesians 5:5

So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart. - 2 Timothy 2:22

Very true but modern Christians will avoid this thread as it is not taught anymore in most churches especially the Mega churches. They want to keep the crowd and even get more crowd. So, no offensive message. It must be sugar coated. They must buy private jets.

I am not against Mega churches but the trend is annoying. Messages are watered down just to suit the audience.

I think what Ken4Christ was trying to say is that the message is an offensive message, both to young and old alike, and pastors of megachurches in Nigeria would avoid these kinds of messages (or if they preach it, would do so in a way as not to offend anyone) in order not to lose their crowd.

I saw what you did there

While I would agree that many so-called Christians immerse themselves in sexual sin and shame the name of the One they profess by the way they live, the message above still stands, even to the most holy Christians. David is a prime example (2 Samuel 11).

David was not a man of God in the Bible at all. He killed Uriah and committed adultery with his wife.....God made a mistake in choosing him.

David is a man of God. God did not make a mistake in choosing Him. God forgave the heinous nature of his sin and chastened him severely. That's why this message is timely so that we don't make the same mistake he did and not toy with sexual sin.

Oh so remind me how I am supposed to take orders about "sexual morality" from a god that füčked Joseph's wife without his consent because he wanted to sacrifice himself to himself to save me and you from sexual immorality?

Besides, God did put away David's sin through the sacrifice of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, on the cross of Calvary. So the sins of all of God's people have been nailed to the cross, and it is no longer on their record.

David is in Heaven now. If you doubt, read Hebrews 11, the chapter of the men and women who lived by faith, and you would find his name in verse 32.

NONE OF THEM IS GOING TO HEAVEN!

The Scriptures made us know this.
First of all God's promise to them is resurrection back to life on earth {Job 14:14-15} and that's where they're going to live FOREVER! Psalms 37:29
Those going to heaven began from the Apostles of Jesus who were baptized both in WATER and SPIRIT {John 3:5}, Jesus made it clear that all those before John the baptist including John himself can't be part of this crew {Matthew 11:11} because by the time God's holy spirit was poured out to anoint those who will go to heaven at Pentecost, John (the baptist) was dead!

So they'll surely be resurrected on earth but they can't partake in the resurrection of spirit anointed sons of God (the born against).

Christ died for the Old Testament saints as well as New Testament saints. His blood reaches back all the way from Abel to the last believer who will believe in Him just before He returns. Read the book of Hebrews carefully again.

God promised all believers the new heavens and the new earth (2 Peter 3:10-13). This present earth as we know it will be destroyed. The souls of old testament saints are presently in Heaven, and when Jesus Christ returns, their bodies will be raised from the dead to unite with their souls, and they, along with all new testament saints will dwell with Christ in the new earth.

Hmmmmmmmmm you've already made up your mind on what you choose to believe and that means you don't want anyone to correct that impression in you.

But know that the earth will never be destroyed! Psalms 78:69,104:5, 119:90 Ecclesiastes 1:4

So if you care to know the REAL meaning of the new heaven and new earth as spoken by our Teacher who teaches in illustrations (parables) {Matthew 13:35 compared to Psalms 78:2} feel free to ask for the WISDOM to grasp God's word! Matthew 7:7
