I don't understand all these old defenders we are packing. I was thinking after this season luiz and papa should fvck off now I'm hearing boateng again we should be asking juve for rugani
I am not sure but I think Boateng is 31 or so. That age is not old for a defender. In fact he should be at his peak. But then he fell down the pecking order at Bayern.

You still do not get it. My point is that we’ve got players that are almost ready to fill in that role in the long run in Rob and Chambers + I haven’t written off Mustafi.

Getting Boateng in January considering if he comes cheap considering our injury crisis isn’t a bad idea.

You just have to be realistic we will hardly spend over 150M in the Summer, getting solid midfielders won’t be cheap and I’m not really for mass selling yet cos we don’t have a good bench in midfield both AM and DM this was our strength in Wenger era.

Defenders depend on game reading more than pace. That comes with experience which comes with age. Boateng has been playing top flight football for over 8years. That's huge experience which we can tap from and especially our young CBs. At 31 he is just at an age where he will peak. For a price as low as that, it will surely be a steal. Honestly I'd take Boateng over all the other options.

@Iamoyindamola we still have the numbers to rotate in defence dept, we have a lot of guys there that can put in a shift, you can’t say same for our midfield. Imagine Ozil, Torreira and Xhaka not being in form or worse case scenario two of them get injured, what do we have in bench? Smith, Guen and Willock, these guys do not inspire confidence to me for an entire season or months of football.
In the summer I’ll want us to see if we can keep Ceb he looks like a hybrid of AM and DM then get another midfielder at least. We need 5 midfielders that can confidently start a game for rotation purpose, Guen, Smith and Willock can grow without pressure as Iwobi did.

Midfield should be the priority for now.

+when u consider Man-U spent 80M on a single defender and are yet to keep an impressive clean sheet record cos of their shitty midfield.

The formation worked because Lingard was shit. If Lingard was any good enough to drag players towards him like Pogba will do in similar role, Arsenal's defensive shape would've crack as Rashford would've been free most of the times or in a 1v1 against Sokratis.

Mehn you sef see the sense in that...When you see a coach, you know one. Arteta will go on to be successful because he has the right footballing ideas and not that joke of a scientist we have always talking about DNA and Chemistry...
I'd like to see Arteta's progress after a year before making any judgements. It's easy when the morale and vibe is still high but what happens when opponents adapt to the new ideas?

He seems to have really good ideas but ideas are nothing without execution.

You forget that they have a 90m worth midfielder. Thats their mumu sha. But we need a proper defender and DM and a RW.

The signs are there. We fans clearly see the improvements, that's even before we beat United.

There is the chance of him running out of ideas but that should be a different story.

so unai Emery had the chance to sign Hakim ziyech for just £35million last summer but the useless man prefer wasting our limited funds on Nicholas Pepe, someone that can play only one position and his shooting is no different from his passes

.

e no go better for Mr. Good Ebening cry

with the kind of form AMN is in right now, I doubt if bellerin will walk right straight into the first team line up

There are plenty of games to rotate them + we are yet to see Belle under Arteta

So true. But I expect the competition to be tough. AMN will be loving his new found love with Arteta since he knows a midfield place will be hard to come by.

Arsenal vs Leeds

Arteta showing his tactical flexibility playing with a back three. This is a top contingent.

It would be nice to see how we do with a skillful Pepe paired up with Lacazette with back to goal.

Arteta showing strong attacking intents, sending as much as five players into the attack while the other five will concentrate on defending.

Make we no deceive ourselves, this Lacazzette can never guarantee us goals like Auba lailai. Reason why I will never support selling Auba for Lacazzette
