* Threatens strike in Kogi, Taraba, C’ RiverIt is a shame that crude oil producing states like Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa Ibom state can not pay the minimun wage. What about States like Edo state with all the Oshiomole NLC labour connection and Cross Rivers with all the impact of Donald Duke still can not pay the minimun wage. Corruption is a big problem in southern Nigeria. |

Shame! For how long? It's 2020 already and these bunch of fools that call themselves leaders are still on how to pay a meagre sum of 30k minimum wage. Isn't shameful? A country is planning on how to adjust working hour of her citizens to 4-6 hours and 4 days a week these ones here are still bitchin around. This tells how backward, wicked and schizophrenic yhur leaders are. Anything that will benefit the common man can't have their quick attention. ....inflation upon inflation yet 30k becomes too much for them to pay their workers (slaves). Bunch of Slowpokes.

ultron12345:There isn't any complete socialist agenda nor excessive restrictive policy, it has always been managed or mixed economic policy complemented by a managed floating exchange rate policy, hence the existence of a few subsidy and parliative measures to cushion the effect of the declining world economy on the masses, yet it is still not easy. |

diplomat058:That's not true. No civil servant actually reveals his or her salary to non-family members, even some family members. I am a teacher in Ebonyi, Onicha Local Government to be precise, with B.Ed and I take home over 110k every month. The only problem some workers have with Umahi was spurred by Elechi after Umahi - his perceived enemy won the election in 2015. When it was a month for the former governor to leave the office: a month only, he increased the workers salary by 100% even though he was the same person that refused to pay the 18k minimum wage. This, Umahi quickly reversed on his assumption of office. Dave Umahi is friendly to workers. |
