That's not true. No civil servant actually reveals his or her salary to non-family members, even some family members. I am a teacher in Ebonyi, Onicha Local Government to be precise, with B.Ed and I take home over 110k every month. The only problem some workers have with Umahi was spurred by Elechi after Umahi - his perceived enemy won the election in 2015. When it was a month for the former governor to leave the office: a month only, he increased the workers salary by 100% even though he was the same person that refused to pay the 18k minimum wage. This, Umahi quickly reversed on his assumption of office. Dave Umahi is friendly to workers.
which year were u recruited with ur B.Ed

Minimum wage has always been gateway to inflation in Nigeria's economy. Checking chronology pattern of minimum wage and inflation duet, one will see that there is this one-one correspondence and dependency between the two, one greatly effects another.

Solution to workers financial problems is by no means upward review of minimum wage, but by total price control of goods and services. Higher minimum wage means more cash, less value that legal tenders possess and constant market evaluation. Things will always balance up to remain as it was before. What N10 will buy 10years ago, N100 will buy it this present day, so what is the point?
even without increase in minimum wage, there is increase in all good and services, therefore inflation is not tied to salary increments in Nigeria

I think the inclusion of Ebonyi is very misleading. I am right here in Ebonyi and a Civil Servant told me that what was agreed on was an upward review of the status quo, not the payment of the exact 30K

As it is now, Ebonyi State's Civil Servants are one the least remunerated in the country. A Graduate enlisted in the State's Teaching Service, here, collects as low as 27K monthly.

I am serving here and my above statement is based on the discussions I had with the Public Schools' Teachers who are B.Sc/B.Ed graduates

That you are in Ebonyi, does that equate to knowing what's happening there?

If you're not sure of anything don't come online to display your ignorance. So you know better than labour president that included Ebonyi State on the list?

So just two states can pay minimum wage in the whole of the south. If as much as 8 states can pay up north then our governors in the south are just vagabonds and parasites. If Rivers, Akwa ibom, Bayelsa and Ogun couldn't pay with huge allocations on monthly basis then south is automatically in problem.

u Don't know anything about this game , just sit and watch , or u think bayelsa can't pay 30k ? borno is there too as those that can pay

What do I know? I'm just an engineering student who should retire to innovating and designing as per my field. But versatility is what I so much love, being able to be relevant in many fields.

That comment of minimum wage was my little opinion though, you need not calling me a drunkard, it is disrespectful I'm sorry to say.

Back to the matter, as a lover of economic welfare of any system, I know so well that many indexes play roles in determining what causes inflation in any nation. Few of them are import/export ratio, exchange rate, consumer price index (CPI), demand-pull effect, cost-push effect and built-in effect.

Built-n inflation is a cause that links to adaptive expectations. As the price of goods and services rises, labors demand more costs/wages to maintain their cost of living. Their increased wages result in higher cost of goods and services, and this wage-price spiral continues as one factor induces the other and vice-versa. And here is where I see as the strongest index.

What I will least expect from you is further insult, you can at least learn.

There isn't any complete socialist agenda nor excessive restrictive policy, it has always been managed or mixed economic policy complemented by a managed floating exchange rate policy, hence the existence of a few subsidy and parliative measures to cushion the effect of the declining world economy on the masses, yet it is still not easy.

So where has it worked? And this place, is it in the top 20 economies globally?

It is getting more obvious that tyrant Buhari hates we igbos with passion. angry

Is it because we preffered our southern athifku to come save us? undecided

It is your genetic greed and wickedness against your people that will not allow your Governors to pay the paltry minimum wage.

If you have Biafra , you will not even pay salary at all.

Even the richest states in the south with Governors collecting billions of Naira every month will still live their population impoverished and their states undeveloped. AKWA Ibom, Rivers, Delta and Bayelsa states could easily compete with Dubai if they were not lead by Animals.

What you should ask instead is how do we control price. By my price control I meant inflation checks.

Controlling prices of goods and services in any country is a broad task, it doesn't not mean government should regulate the price, no. Price control and regulation are two different things. To effectively put check to rise in prices of goods and services (inflation), one must be able to identify those factors/indexes that lead to inflation and play against them.

These indexes include consumer price index (CPI), wholesale price index (WPI), import/export ratio, exchange rate, cash flow pattern, e.t. c. All these factors fall under three types of inflation, and they are; demand-pull effect, cost-push effect and built-in effect...

I'm not sure you are ready for this as I can go on with my analysis, but let me save my treasured time
