RisenPhoenix: Since U.S. President Donald Trump’s September announcement calling peace talks with the Taliban “dead,” the Qatar-based Taliban leadership has made widely-reported visits to Moscow, Tehran, Beijing and Islamabad. ERBIL, Kurdistan Region – Kurdish political leaders visited Iranian consulate offices in Erbil and Sulaimani on Sunday to extend their condolences to Islamic Republic on the killing of Gen. Qasem Soleimani in a US drone attack in Baghdad early Friday. The US of course can destroy Iran and their infrastructures, but Iran also is capable in the same regards in so many ways, but let's move away from all that to realistic engagements and confrontations and the folks you listed especially the Taliban. Why is the Taliban shuttling back and forth to Iran to discuss their peace moves with the US? Iran is more powerful and influential in that part of the world than the US and realities in that part of the world is local and regional, not about the best weapons and what the US can destroy or not destroy. The US after trillions of dollars and thousands of deaths in Afghanistan is begging the same Taliban, a rebel group that fought the US to a stalemate for peace and withdrawal agreement. What happened to all their superior weapons and largest military budget in the world? You also mentioned the Kurds, but the Kurds leadership and parties actually went to Iran to express condolence over the death of Sulaimani. This is an open display of support and friendship. The Kurds are not stupid, they saw what Trump did to them in Syria when Trump abandoned and sold them out to the Turks, to them, Trump is not a dependable American president and the leadership all over the mid east are not clueless when ot comes t the current American leadership. |

idealogical:You are joking Even Russia just launched a special Missile last month that they believe can evade American Missile defense system but many expects doubt that not to talk of Iran. Even in your report, it was clearly stated that America support for Saudi is limited in scope and there's no assurance that the defense system Saudi posses was placed near the facilities Iran attacked. Now let me spell it out for you AMERICA WILL NEVER GIVE ITS BEST WEAPONS TO SAUDI BECAUSE THEY FEAR THAT IT COULD EASILY GET INTO THE HANDS OF TERRORIST THAT WILL USE THE SAME WEAPONS TO FIGHT AND KILL Americans. |

idealogical:There are factions within factions and even so, temporary alliances are not necessarily signs of loyalty. The Taliban have probably not forgotten how instrumental Iran was in initially helping the US to push them out of power and the Kurds are only loyal to themselves and their dreams of an independent Kurdistan. Ultimately, when they see the opportunity to seize control, they will do just that, like you said, they are not stupid. Also remember that while the US has technically abandoned some of the Syrian Kurdish factions like the PKK and the YPG, Iran has been oppressing their own Kurds like forever. As for Qatar, they always have been 2 faced. They will most likely turn their backs on the Iranian regime when they see it sinking. I heard that the drones that killed Soleimani even took off from al-Udeid airbase in Qatar. Who knows what the Qataris agreed to behind closed doors? All this is just academic anyway. Iran will never retaliate. When Israel killed Hezbollah's Imad Moghniyeh in Syria about a decade ago, we heard the same threats of revenge and retaliation. A decade later and we are still waiting for that threat to materialise. Israel regularly hits Iranian military assets in Syria, and Iran's proxies in Iraq. Nary a single rocket was fired back at Israel. Do you think that the same country that fears Israel so much will venture to provoke Israel's bigger brother? |

No war between US and Iran, talks are going through a back channel. Iran got caught in Trump vs deepstate war because the mullahs aren't that smart. They will be ok though! The last image is from 2018 yet accurate, I am beginning to pay attention to PROJECT LOOKING GLASS( white man's Ifa) if the YELLOW CUBE is real. RT = Rex Tillerson MB = Muslim Brotherhood

Iamgrey5: Standoff Land Attack Missiles — $3 billionSaudi Arabia in one single purchase bought $10 worth weapon and gadgets from the US and over $350 billion in future sales, you think they spend all that money on AK47? These are some of the most advanced and sophisticated weapons in the world. Please, this is not about emotions and personal sentiments, this is about public info and realities on the ground.

Iamgrey5:These are all basic weapons that are not even considered to be advanced or game changers on the battlefield. They are all in Saudi arsenals, they have all the weapons in your elementary weapon list. They have Apache helicopter, tow tank missile, Abrams tank, they have paladin, tow tank missile ...and 50-Caliber Machine Gun? Who doesn't have that and is this even your interpretation of advanced weapons? We are are talking about THAAD, frigates, the best anti submarines aircraft, stand off and joint missiles, threat Detection Aerostats and this one is talking about bullets? Are you serious or you are just pulling my legs? |

idealogical:@ emboldened shows you don't know what you are talking about American have been making anti missile vehicles since (air craft and land vehicles) since World war 2 and have constantly improved it almost every other year since then because others also kept improving their missile capabilities. Same goes for missile defense and radar system. Secondly not all weapons are game changer in the battle field otherwise the military of World powers won't keep ungrading their systems. Take for example, Libya had missiles in 2011 when American's Aircraft kept taking out Libyan military installations from the Sky and their threat detection system couldn't pinpoint American's aircrafts positions. Hence, Libya military under gadaffi kept firing blanks into the air with the hope that it will hit an American aircraft but it never did. |
