I beg to differ tbh, why both actress nailed both role, i think Pike's was more believable and memorable hence had the more critic praise.

Pike's character was far more believable because she had a motive, a drive, gal was pushed whereas, Blake's woke up one morning and decided to go nuts after a convo with a friend

Know him mostly for the action packed movies. But, some Actors may not be able to interpret any role. Actors like Samuel L Jackson, Wesley Snipes and co. Dwayne Johnson is one guy I know that can do that, not forgetting Tyler Perry

I think Tyler Perry can do better. I look at him and Sandler the same way; they can be serious if they want to. Perry was good in Gone Girl and was wonderful as Colin Powell in Vice. I just feel he has found a comfort zone and he's decided to make the sacrifice of sticking to his guns.
