It varies on the airline you chose, but 500k is not enough. Checking on Qatar airways alone, with stops, the price is around 1511 USD which is about 543k...and so on. I don't recommend Finland much, Try Sweden, Norway or other Scandinavian countries. I am not sure you can survive the cold, and the country does not have any natural resources except water and woods. But to get ticket for Finland, 500k is more than enough for plane fight. However, the question is migration which involves housing, feeding, settling down. So, capital no. Like KendrickAyomide said, 2m should land you pending the time you get a job fast which is not guaranteed.

Well, I can only tell you a few things about what I discovered from research. I recommend reading Quora comments because they're firsthand experiences by expatriates and immigrants about these countries. Very interesting and reasonable. Apart from what I mentioned about Finland, one thing all of them agreed on is that the language is hard. Among the Scandinavian countries (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, & Sweden), preferences are given to Sweden and Norway. Both are oil producing countries with natural resources. They're rich in a way.

However, Norway is said to be expensive but wages are good too. Many are of the opinion that you will enjoy Sweden more because the language is easy to pick, they're liberal, innovative, and a lot of opportunities. Swedes are not that "judgy" and are willing to assist you and flow with you. They also have more international connections among the Scandinavians. Some even suggest you can be in boundary towns and work in Norway.

So, based on popular poll, I would say Sweden among the five, but if you don't care about the "expensiveness" of Norway, it is also good. There are Nigerians there. They can tell us their experience about the cost of living.

There are lot of things involved before and after your visa approval. Things like visa fee,hotel reservation,medical insurance, round trip flight reservation(since it's a schengen visa), travel allowance etc

Hotel + flight reservation = zero naira coz u r advised not to pay for flight or hotel before visa application
Travel insurance = 13k

You mean all you need to do is pay your visa fee and you'll be given your visa and also you need a travel insurance of 13,000 ( €32.30) while traveling Smh

I have 2m with me and i want to migrate to Canada...am sure 2m is enough for me to migrate??

One thing you guys should know is that it's not about having the money to migrate. You must as well have a qualification. Canada only accept those that have school qualifications or work experience. The other way is through school.

You really don't know much about travel. The guy who said 100k isn't wrong. These things u mentioned are requirements for visa application. You are not paying for hotel. U are only booking...it's free . Those other ones ain't expensive. Infact 100k is even too much. I'm only against d idea dat 500k can run everything. Places u will have problem is accommodation, feeding..... Bank statement is another problem...except u are being sponsored. 500k bank statement can't issue u visa, otherwise it's enough to get visa and flight to UK, Italy, Spain etc. Scandinavia may be more expensive

Accommodation, feeding and other miscellaneous expenses as pointed by someone here. All those has to be put into consideration.

You may not want to hear this but i'm still going to say it.

1. You will not be able to get a visa to travel to any of those countries to work illegally.

2. If by magic or miracle you get a visiting visa to any of those countries then get ready to experience the real suffer, you can not work, do business or study with visiting visa.

3. Unless you have friend/family who will accommodate you from day1 you will be on the cold street that whatever you are experiencing in Nigeria right now will look like paradise

Use part of that 500k to buy materials and study for scholarship exams then leave Nigeria legitimately.

Don't add to a growing number of Nigerians wasting abroad with no hope of even saving for flight ticket back home.
