My box office predictions for 2020 films

Bad Boys 4 Life will flop...it would be lucky if it manages to earn past $300m.
Will Smith is not a selling point anymore...remember Gemini Man.

Disney, after a successful 2019, will start 2020 on a sad note with Dolittle flopping hard

Black Widow will not do Captain Marvel numbers but should easily earn $700m

No Time To Die should do well

I dey fear for Godzilla v Kong . The last film couldn't cross $500m despite the visuals and amazing action sequences.
WB should push this film to next year.

People are getting tired of the never ending Fast and Furious films. Fast 9 will do well but not like the last two installments in the franchise. Universal don milk that franchise tire cry

Soul will turn out to be Disney/Pixar best animated film of 2020 and one of the best films of the year.

Tenet will become one of the most successful Christopher Nolan films ever...it is also my most anticipated film of 2020.

Mulan is just a cash grab for Disney.
I don't like it when Disney remakes their classics.
They ruined Aladdin for me and I didn't watch Lion King remake and never will.
I pray Mulan flops so that Disney will have sense and stop doing useless remakes.

Nope. People definitely ain't tired of the Fast and Furious franchise. If Hobbs and Shaw could gross $760mn with just 2 characters from the main franchise, Fast 9 is definitely gonna better it. In fact imo Fast 9 is easily the movie with the greatest potential to win the coveted highest grossing film of the year worldwide.

I foresee around $1.2bn as far as China turn up or more. It's still waxing strong in China and might still win the highest grossing Hollywood movie in China 2020.

Domestic gross winner(s) is gonna be between WW84, Mulan, Black Widow or Soul.

What I find annoying is cultures like that in Midsommar still exist today but still they made we Nigerians believe they don't by brainwashing us.

from the moment pelle killed dani's family and made it look like a a murder-suicide, i knew it was going to be a very disturbing movie, and it didn't disappoint.

I didn't see hereditary because of the shitty demonic stuff.. Midsommar trailer alone is so creapy..
Any horror that has demonic/rituals is a no no for me.

I prefer horrors like

Saw
Escape room
Get out etc...

First : danni sister didn't commit suicide, it was pelle that killed her and her family so dani will have no setback to join them on their trips or joining the cult/ family (If you notice how the death scene was shown) a hose was connected through the car gas tankand to the parents room and to Dani sister's mouth taped. Who commits that kind of suicide. They were gassed

P.s: when pelle told danni that his own family died in the fire, he was actually meaning his parents died in the fire sacrifice.

Jojo Rabbit (2019)...7.5/10
Genre: Comedy, Drama, War

A thought provoking, heartwarming & funny flick. Story/plot was very good, it was basically a political pasquinade/lampoon of the Nazi ideology. Acting was good, my Scarlett was so so on point, so was the young lad who played JoJo, cinematography was near flawless, so was the directing. All in all, i really did fancy this one.

Furie (2019)...6/10
Genre: Action, Drama, Thriller

Very cliché plot, if you've seen Taken by Liam Neeson, then this is nothing new, it almost the same story but with a woman rather than a man as the protagonist. Though it took a while for the action scenes to kick off, but when it eventually did, it was an entertaining ride till the very end. Honestly, i think this is one of the best female martial arts flicks I've seen in a while now.
