By the way, OP, that's likely not a sloth. Sloths usually have 2-to-3 digits on their fore and hind limbs (varies depending on specie); but not five. Yours has five, so it's likely not a sloth.

I wonder that some people have not seen this animal before.

There are several types that look similar. They are lorisids, also called Liridae or lorisidae. They are related to lemur and galago.

This particular West African type is slow like a sloth. It wasn't that rare when I was growing up. Many were caught alive.

It's a primate hence it looks like a slow monkey.
