Since when is staying back to be killed by your enemies an act of bravery? What Orkah did by staying back to be captured and executed was an act of pure stupidity

A Soldier is trained to fight, but to withdraw when overwhelmed by the enemy because a dead Soldier is of no use to anyone

Ojukwu was a brave man to stand up and fight for the freedom of his people. When he was overwhelmed, he withdrew as a trained Soldier

Orkaah was also a brave man to attempt toppling the evil regime of IBB, but he was very foolish to have stayed back to killed when he had a way of escaping

The only time a Soldier should stay back to die is if his death will make a difference. But if his death wont change anything, he would be very stupid leave his escape route and allow his enemies slaughter him for nothing

Ojukwu didn't just abandon his men nor leave them to die, he left his men to surrender to the Nigerian forces.

He had gone too far with his ambition to now lead his men to surrender.

Well, Ojukwu was smart enough to run. Same way Tinubu ran from Abacha and today he is one of the most powerful politician in Nigeria. Imagine if he stayed back and Abacha had killed him then. So a man must know when to fight and run.
