The CGI is not poor,the major backlash from fans was cos the trailer seemed to give up the whole plot hence kinda spoiling the movie(atleast that's what people thought) and then the lack of body paint

So I guess am the only one that felt the CGI was weak when the bullet fell out of the gun in the first 5 secs of the trailer, or the way his body reforms after been blasted, without him moving a muscle, unless you are invulnerable which he isn't the kinetic impact of that bullet ought to have moved his entire body a little not just his face.
Lastly, the other upgraded cyborgs looks like Alita: Battle Angel if CW was producing it
