I have been wondering about that one since the Supreme court made Uzodimma Governor. What it shows is that INEC is the most incompetent organisation in Nigeria

How can over 200,000 votes be omitted? Oh well, what do you expect from a failed country like Nigeria?

It was cancelled by inec despite the fact that it was declared at the polling units.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around it. Even though my Orlu zone is the biggest beneficiary of the judgement.

I'm sure even some of the staunchest APC supporters can't really understand the judgement.

You guys are finally asking the right question.

From my understanding of what played out on Election Day, all the major candidates massively rigged in their areas of strength. Ihedioha rigged massively in the Mbaise local governments, Uzodinma did same in Orlu and Nwosu in his area. All the results were declared at the polling units without any violence. Copies of the polling units results were handed over to the security agencies.

On getting to the collation center, INEC collation officers discovered the huge rigging. Instead of canceling the entire results or accepting everything, they decided to cherry pick. They accepted Ihedioha’s rigged results from Mbaise and Okorocha ensured results from Nwosu’s area were also accepted. Sadly, all the rigged results from 388 polling units stronghold of Uzodinma were rejected.

The case went to tribunal and Uzodinma submitted the results initially declared from the 388 units. He called over 50 polling officers as witnesses and even got the police to tender their own copies of the results before the tribunal. The police also corroborated his argument that there was no violence in those polling units during the election.

It was then left for INEC to defend the unlawful cancellation of the votes. Sadly, INEC played the ostrich and refused to offer any serious legal defense to support the cancellation. Ihedioha’s legal team were more interested in battling Nwosu’s case and didn’t give the Uzodinma case the required legal attention. As a result, none of the defendants put up a serious legal challenge against Uzodinma’s argument.

The Supreme Court looked at the results from the 388 polling units and all the seven justices agreed there was no justification for the cancellation. They added them back and Uzodinma was declared winner. Case closed.

You are not from the East that is why you believe the nonsense you posted above.

There are 3 Senatorial Zones in IMO of which 2 massively supported Ihedioha and the last zone Orlu had it's votes divided between Nwosu and Hope.

Which LGAs did Hope get such number of votes to come first since 2 zones were united in support of Ihedioha.?

You’re correct that I’m not from the east. However, that has nothing to do with my submission. Ihedioha won in about 10 or 11 local governments. If 2 out of the 3 zones in the state actually voted massively for him as you said, that should have translated to him winning 2/3 of all the local governments in the state. In fact, the other argument that he didn’t even get the required 25% of total vote cast in 2/3 of the local governments won’t have come up.

This is interesting.

But does that mean everyone from the 388 polling units voted for APC and none for the other parties?

APC seem to be the only beneficiary which is quite fishy. And I am wondering why the other parties somehow got 0 votes in all 388 polling units.

Thanks broh. You have said it all. Election in Nigeria is all about rigging. And in court, it's almost impossible to appeal against a rigged results if this new amendment of electoral law is not signed into law. This current electoral laws are full of flaws and many political dissidents are taking advantage of it. The same thing will work against PDP in Kogi electoral litigations. They should never contest Okene, Adavi, Okehi, and Ajaokuta heavily rigged results because they were signed and reeled out by the presiding officers. Their main prayer should be bothered on the electoral violence that marred the election and pray for total cancellation. Else, Kogi will just go like this one.

Broh, in law there is no sentiment. If the appellant cannot contest on the irregularities that played with the emergence of those humongous figures leaving other parties with zero votes. The court will gladly assumed that those figures were genuine.
