Celebrity gospel music artiste Nathaniel Bassey took to social media venting about how fans and social media users tag him in posts comparing gospel artistes to each other and asking who is better. The artiste who became a world wide brand wit his hit song Onise Iyanu asked to be left out of such competitive discussion claiming gospel music is not a competition but artistes should complement each other.

A fan then went on to troll him about not singing in his native Ibibio tongue while he is always writing songs in Yoruba. This led to an onslaught on the troll by another fan and Nathaniel too.
