PDP To Protest Over Supreme Court Judgment In Imo by DONSMITH123(m): 1:33pm On Jan 17, 2020
The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Uche Secondus, on Friday proposed that PDP National Executive Committee members embark on a protest against the judgement of the Supreme Court which sacked the PDP Imo State governorship candidate, Chief Emeka Ihedioha, as the duly elected governor of Imo State.

Speaking during the ongoing 87th emergency PDP NEC in Abuja, Secondus said the proposed protest was to impress it on Nigerians that injustice had been done to the party.

He stated that the mandate given to the party by Imo electorates had been snatched from the party.

According to him, the declaration of the Imo State candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Hope Uzodinma, as the Imo State Governor is a miscarriage of Justice.

He said though the ultimate justice will come from God Almighty, the aggrieved PDP leaders must speak out against injustice as their silence could be taken for consent to the alleged injustice.

The Chairman, PDP Board of Trustees, Senator Walid Jubrin, said he dressed as a warrior in Igbo attire to depict that Nigeria is at ‘war.’

According to him, the alleged injustice was not only done to PDP but the entire Nigerians.

He stated that the party had not recovered from the alleged injustice.

He said, “Nigeria is getting to an end if we continue with this way.”

Also, the 2019 PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, said the PDP and the G34 fought and brought democracy to Nigeria.

He said, “Our party governed very well from 1999 to 2015. As true democrats, we handed over party to the ruling party, hoping that it will deepen democracy, alas we have been disappointed.”

Atiku called for the constitution of a committee to review what happened at the last election and make necessary recommendations.

He said the roles of the Independent National Electoral Commission and security agencies should not be taken for granted.

According to him, taking them for granted will be the end of the struggles of the founding fathers of the party.

“It is our duty to reincarnate the struggles they made that brought the democracy that APC is enjoying,” Atiku submitted.

Nice one.

The shameful, legally inconsistent, non pragmatic, glaringly unjust and unfair judgement of the supreme court on the Imo State governorship election needs to be reversed. It is bad that some justices of Nigeria Supreme courts are men and women without integrity and self respect.

We say no to the yahoo yahoo judgements of the supreme court from bias justices.

How those judges managed to declare Hope the winner still baffles me considering the fact that the Senator came a distant fourth in the election.

The total votes cast is now greater than the number of registered voters.

The judges are mathematical gurus...Naija I hail thee!!!!! cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

That will be madness from the same people who always shout rule of law. So to them, rule of law is only meant to favor them. Let them get ready for more protests because they are definitely going to lose more States.

Look at madness. So if anybody wants to push madness to the street nowadays, they start by insulting the sensibility of the Igbo's. He could not declare war for his party to give ticket to an Igbo man having followed and patronized the party since inception. But he will remember to identify the Igbo's in a contest between two Igbo brothers. Is he saying that his own people attire represent people who are not serious to the PDP course? go

Is government a do or die affair?!

When PDP was in power they enjoyed it to the fullest, now they're out of power, they should please allow the elected person to focus on the little good he has for the state.

I've noticed that PDP are always trying to make a state ungovernable for the incumbent. They raised the anti-Igbo propaganda and even fulanisation propaganda.

They made it seem like they're against Buhari and his tribe meanwhile they're really against his party. Do you not see that they recommend Atiku for their followers. Or is Atiku not a Fulani.

Recently , a premium times journalist was interrogated by the police for publishing false news. They called him to their office to explain himself. The next thing we saw is premium times published an article trying to give the matter an ethno-religious flavour. Whereas it has absolutely nothing to do with it.

Some people will just sit down and cook lies just because they think it's the only way to achieve their goals.

Too many evil minds in this country.

PDP is truly dead and buried, and I have no iota of pity for them, APC has serially straffed PDP and it will continue for many years, they refuse to learn from the punishment their master suffered bat the hands of the great Buhari and Oshiomole.
Lawyers have to cash out, some people's new year resolution is coming early.
Mumu PDP.

My own is not to come on front page and be reading the number of innocent lives that were lost during the protest. Enough is enough. There is too much bloodshed already. There is no need meeting your death in the name of protest.
