We need more than the thing we sre seeing. Our love for the club is being taken for granted. Reinforcements is needed. Individual talents abound but Arsenal needs a team of players that can play to each other's strength and tenacity.

confirm... today torreira will work his ass off and others are just strolling tomorrow vice versa.
The players are not complementing each other at all, I see bunch of over paid clowns

You can’t keep that energy game in game out. At some point even Torreira will lose form. We lack squad depth and it’s most evident in midfield how Emery let that happen is beyond me. Look at how Liverpool and City rotate their midfield.
If u look at their bench u see players that can change game and boost the team if plan A aint working. In Arsenal Ozil, Xhaka or Torreira out of form you’ll look at the bench to find Willock and Guen and people are still talking about selling we have no business selling in this TW.

God punish Emery.

This is always what I'm saying, that we too overrate our squad. Sha, that is how klopp started with Liverpool when he finished 7th. If we're to be sincere with ourselves, most people in this present arsenal squad needs to be gone and new fresh faces added, just the way klopp did at Liverpool in the summer. We don't need total overhauling, but what we need is mostly first team players. Most of our first team players are mostly bench players. From midfield to attack to defence in that order. Ironically, defence is the least of our problem(my opinion), but for us to move further, good midfield and attack need to be added next summer.

you just have to be realistic. The best option is to buy at least 3 1st team quality midfielders to add to the numbers. You can then sell players not performing in the next TW and replace.

You can’t guarantee that the ones we’ll buy will perform reason we should solve the depth issue first.

We lack depth no players to play around with that’s our major issue now.

For all the Tierney this Tierney that we still had to fall back to Kolasinac whom some wanted out last TW. Imagine he was sold with Monreal gone we’ll have to play Saka there week in week out.

You guys just get emotional and start shouting sell sell sell like the person we’ll be buying is a robot and not human.

I repeat we have no business selling anyone for now cos the club can’t afford to replace them while increasing our depth in one transfer window.

This is being realistic.

Did you read anywhere I downplayed his performance?
The point is can he be relied upon all season?

If we had sold Kola too like y’all opined who would we have turned to with Tierney out.

FFS we even had to convert Niles to RB for Bellerin and we suffered in that area cos it took lot of time for him to come to speed.

We have only 3 midfielders that can start yet you guys want them sold instead of asking for additions.

You guys need to assess situations and know we are dealing with humans not robots.
When we start our games with our usual starting 11 who can u look upto on the bench to change things when things don’t go as planned and you are talking about selling.

Actually, we are saying same thing. I'm not against adding to the squad, I just want most of the first teamers to be bench materials and new good players become our first team. Especially midfield and wingers(at least to good midfielders and one winger), then we can build from there. I'm not against selling players now o.

why did you think we will sell kola because we had tierney.
People aid they prefer tierney to kola, some even prayed he died on bench so where did you see the selling of kola, you the one been emotional

I doubt if we can afford to sell, replace and add to the numbers in one TW

back up doesn't mean he wont get some playing time. Btw what is your point?
we should depend on kola henceforth or what

we can. If only our scout is good. Look at torreira, we bought him for cheap and he's a regular at both country and his former club and not a teenager. If we can get a player like that for an attacking midfielder, (they full everywhere), another one for central and/or a big signing for a winger. I guess we'll be good for next season. We just need 3 additions of MF and forward then by next two season, we can get another addition and ease away some of our present players.
That's what I feel.

Is this not what I’ve been saying.

That we should add to the numbers first, then subsequent windows we sell and replace those not upto the task.

Key point is we can’t afford to sell, replace and add in a single window. That will cost close to 300M to achieve and our club won’t splash such.
Whether they have the money is argument for another day.
Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: Finally Reborn! The Red & White Army: FA CUP Champions 2020 by Nobody: 12:04pm On Jan 21, 2020
If we had say 6 solid midfielders Arteta will have more to play around with and pick his best 3 midfielders. As it stands he’s stuck with Ozil, Xhaka and Torreira. Cos playing Guen is not guaranteed to give a better performance than Xhaka or Torreira neither will winning Ozil for Willock would hardly be a positive game changer.

OK, at the bolded is where both of us agreed on. I'm just further digressing what we need to add(which is 2midfielders and one winger) as priority and not countering your point.
Also the example you gave about kolasinac and Tierney is really really spot on

I don’t know if it’s wise resting Mitland-Niles for Bellerin who hasn’t played competitive match for a while.....particularly when I’ve not seen the partnership of bellerin and Pepe on that flank

Mustafi will have his moments no doubt.....I'm only concerned about how we fare on the attacking side of play. I'm concerned about the attacking treat pepe ought to pose with Bellerin playing closely behind him. Mitland-Niles hasn't been bad in that position in recent times.
