This will be a long post oh. Prepare.

It is ok to cry and be tired but you see that give up part? Don't try it.

I was diagnosed with PCOS like 18 years ago. My first question was "Dr, can I get pregnant at all" and he said I should come back when I was ready. I had not stepped out of the door when he told the second dr that "this lady will not be able to get pregnant at all".

I left with that sentence ringing in my head. Years later I researched into PCOs mainly from Oyibo platforms.

First step:

1. Lose weight. I lost 15kg.
2. Eliminate sugar. I dropped soft drinks, juice, sugar e.t.c
3. Reduce carbohydrate. This was hard but I did.
4. Exercise, however there is a caveat on this. I did just walking and slight jogging cos I noticed that more exercise made PCOs worse for me.

I started taking I*No*si*tol*. I also used some fertil aid products but they didn't work for me

With the above, I still didn't get pregnant.

I attacked with medical too.

I started with a gynaecologist who placed me on MET*FOR*MIN and combined later with CLO*MID so as to induce ovulation. I did that for 8 cycles and didn't get pregnant.

Next was injectables for another 6 cycles or so...no pregnancy.

I moved over to IUI and after a number of IUI, no pregnancy.

Last bus stop was IVF. I did some cycles and finally had a son.

I am pregnant again with no drama this time.

Now, you will say does that mean I Pojomojo will go through all this plenty things? And then you start crying and feeling tired all over. My answer is NO. This was how I went though Mine.

My friend with PCOS just eliminated sugar. Lost weight and immediately got pregnant. She has a beautiful baby girl.

Different success stories from different PCOS women.

Pick the positives of my story.
Keep fighting.
In a battle we have 2 outcomes: the winner and the loser.

Chose to be the winner.

I cried several times . I was angry, sad and overwhelmed but I always knew that one day, all will pass and become stories. God bless you.

Please I was diagnosed of Pcos, I have been crying since morning, I am tired and just want to give up

Being scared will not solve anything so why bother? Channel that thought to prayers. See your doctor to be checked out and find out what the problem is. Pregnancy comes with a lot of packages and can be overwhelming to a ftm. Some are relatable others are individual based. It's only your gynea that can authoritatively tell what the issue is so please go see him or her.

Meanwhile drink lots of water and stay calm.

Ma'am, Did you stress your self or what did you eat? Because I noticed any time I eat semovita or hot food in my early pregnancy i will see fainted blood, I reported it to my doctors and they Instructed me not to eat it again.

Meanwhile, you can visit your hospital any time you notice something unusual.

In summary Ma'am, You need to suspend all your daily activities and ensure total bed rest at the moment(Ensure you lie on left or right side), drink enough water and take your medications(supend Vasoprin medicine for now, it can be taken after the blood stained stop), avoid hot water and hot food. Please Ma'am, you can start saying positive words to your baby

Sabi mamas, good evening o. Please I've been having stomach tightening for some weeks now, with no pain (braxon hicks) ..but these past few days it has been a bit painful..it comes with this cramps feeling at my lower back that radiates to my butt and legs. Although they are not regular but they are frequent..no bloody show or discharge..saw small bits of mucus last week but it was clear and not stained with blood. Do you think it's real contractions..I'm going for ante natal tomorrow tho. I'm team March

Been happening to me as well. As long as you can breathe through it and not grit your teeth, you’re good to go. It (Bhicks) gets more intense as we get closer. However, you can talk to your doc so you put your mind at ease

Drink lots of water and try to lie on your left.
Try as much as possible to stay on the bed, you can place a cup beside you for the spitting.
By now, your MS should be disappearing.
Your slight abdominal pain could be your uterus expanding for its new tenant as this is the period they'll begin to grow.

Definitely won't be easy but others have gone thru it and succeeded so can you.

Talk to your doctor and let them access you to better give you guidance if you choose to continue nursing your baby.

I saw the below on Facebook

TOPIC : AVOIDING MISCARRIAGE AND STILLBIRTH.

Nothing hurts a mom like the loss of a child be it foetus or already born baby. Some ladies experience concurrent miscarriage every time they get pregnant.

Please this post is for you.

STRESS:

It is widely believed that pregnancy brings with it some temptations worthy of inducing stress on the mother but please no matter how hard it is for you, try to avoid stress and anxiety because it can lead to uterine contractions thereby flushing out the baby.

FOODS TO AVOID

Foods that causes miscarriage include pineapple, freshly squeezed juice, unwashed vegetables, liver , fruits high in acid like oranges and lime. Peanuts, parmesan seeds, wild apple, pawpaw, sprouted potatoes, daily doze of caffeine exceeding 200 milligram. Caffeine can be found in coke , paracetamol, coffee, energy drinks, tea, bottled drinks, etc.

MEDICATIONS.

It saddens my heart when I talk to some sisters and discover they have miscarried. Upon closer enquiries I find out they were taking antibiotics for one ailment or the other while the baby was still under three months.

Some women I gave treatment in the past took antibiotics either to treat discharge or malaria and ended up having miscarriage and told me only when bleeding had set in and unfortunately there was nothing I could do then. Heavy discharge is normal in pregnancy provided it doesn't smell bad.

Every woman's body is not the same. Some can eat anything and run daily from time of conception to date of delivery and won't suffer a bit but others miscarries if they as much as stress themselves or take wrong meds.

Please moms unless you have a serious health condition it's best to avoid any medication until your baby is above three months. Even if it's above that, what you are given during antenatal are vitamins and supplements nothing more. Pregnancy fever or headache doesn't kill. It's all part of the symptoms.

PLEASE AND PLEASE DON'T TREAT INFECTIONS WHILE PREGNANCY UNLESS GIVEN MILD ANTIBIOTICS BY YOUR GYNAECOLOGIST . WAIT TILL YOU DELIVER!!!

DIABETES

Diabetic moms faces a high risk of miscarriage during pregnancy. Please get your blood sugar under control.

Control your early cravings. Avoid much sugar. Eighty percent of moms develop diabetes in pregnancy because your body is now slow towards the breakdown of sugar.

GET A GYNAECOLOGIST

I Plea with you, from the day you conceive, forget general hospital this and that or street midwife. Get a gynaecologist to look after you. They're not expensive .

And unless when treated for illness, doctors consultation for check up during antenatal is cheap and not always all the time(for those without insurance).

The protein test done weekly is almost free. Less than one dollar.

A gynaecologist, is not only specialized in all facets of your womanly body but will also be able to conduct emergency surgery if there's a drop in baby's heartbeat to avoid losing your baby.

When I was 35 weeks pregnant, I went for check up and was immediately advised that my baby's heartbeat was not steady and therefore I was told to do biophysical examination after which the baby would be brought out and put in incubator to save his life if it continues. God intervened and baby started kicking hard while I was driving to the diagnostic centre and equally came out with very strong kicks and breathing pattern as shown on the result later.

Also many women experience and die from bleeding after delivery due to lack of proper care. I experienced it as well but was immediately controlled by my top-notch gynaecologist. What I am trying to say is that you need the care of a specialist, to quell any complications that might arise in pregnancy.

BALANCED DIET

A local adage says that there is no greater medicine than good food.

This is so true when it comes to you and your baby.

Eating well is highly advised in pregnancy.

This will not only help you avoid anaemia but will also help you and your baby function and develop well. Very soon I will start making videos of healthy foods to eat during pregnancy and when trying to conceive. Eat foods high in vitamins and iron to help your baby develop well.

DRINK WATER

Drink lots of water during pregnancy to avoid dehydration.

EAT LOTS OF VEGETABLES AND FRUITS

Importance of vegetables and fruits during pregnancy can never be over exaggerated. Your best fruits are banana, water melon. Also take milk and other good foods.

SEA FOOD/SMOKED MEAT AND FISH

Moms please try as much as possible to avoid any food that is not well cooked during pregnancy. Avoid smoked fishes, meat and steaks during pregnancy. African 'suya' lovers please take note.

CAESARIAN SECTION ALSO NORMAL DELIVERY!

From the day you become pregnant, kindly prepare your mind for possible CS. Forget the ignorant belief and God forbid declarations. Any way to help you and baby live is supported by God who put your baby inside you.

Many women have lost their lives trying to go against their doctors advice.

They have seen your scan results, and checked baby's position and their primary duty is to save your life and that of your baby.

I remember that I was personally pleading for CS while I was in labour pains at six centimetres dilation I believe. Lol but doctor said no that I'll delivery soon. I popped out less than two hours later.

Stop being backward in thoughts and consider your life and that of baby first. And any relatives or husband who uses CS delivery to discriminate mothers, should kindly retrace their steps.

May God protect your baby and you and help all TTC moms be called mother of many in Jesus Name I pray Amen.
Love you all
Xoxo
